Brad Bell said they submitted the episodes surrounding Storm's death, so I'm guessing they choose to do two back-to-back episodes. Honestly, I know it's not flashy, but I think they could surprise everyone at the Emmys. Only problem is that DAYS and AMC have big stunts and the Emmys have preferred things like that in recent years. Still it's a shock (albeit a pleasant one) that B&B was recognized in some way for Storm's suicide.

Why do B&B have two episodes in their nominations when everyone else only have one?

B&B's episodes are April 28 & 29 (WRITING = nod/DIRECTING = no nod/SERIES = nod)...

They are allowed to enter two episodes because 2*30 min = 60 min = all other soaps...

Susan Flannery has said however that she submitted just one episode as her reel. She didn't say any specifics but it is her sitting at Eric's bedside bidding him farewell during the coma story. Should be something from September.
