Did Pete and Diana just leave town after their wedding? Anne Rose Brooks moved on to play SORASED Stephanie Aldrich onย The Doctorsย only to again find herself out of a job when the show was canceled.

I'm intrigued by the idea that a Diana/Sally rivalry could have fueled years worth of stories (daddy's girl vs. the abandoned daughter is a classic conflict).

They stayed on til September and then left town. There was an article posted here a while back stating that somebody, probably Paul Rauch, realized the show was in a bad place and there was a rash of firings around that timeย

I thought that the Sheas had great potential, but Corinne Jacker quickly scrapped the entire family. Poor Loretta, played by the always excellent Anita Gillette, lasted all of three months. Harry lasted seven months. And Pete was gone after 10 months. Daughters Bridget and Terri were originally slated to be teenagers. I remember reading about that in one of the soap rags. I recall at least one of the Shea daughters appeared on screen, but she was a child not a teen as had been announced earlier.

The Sheas were a pretty unlucky family lolย

Thanks. At least Chris Marcantel booked LOVING not too long afterwards.

I was watching the newย Sister Swapย Hallmark movies with Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Ashley Williams (who was on ATWT as a teen). Their mom was played by AW's own Anna Holbrook. The sisters revealed in an interview with Seth Meyers that they've known AH forever - she was the best friend of their late mother. โค

That's such a lovely story.ย

The little speeches Mac gives to us never fail to be touching.ย

Who is the woman with Brittany?

The lady is Nurse Joyce Campbell. From the comment Joyce made. Brittany was already pregnant with Catlin's second child.

I don't know about Morgan Fairchild as Alice. Maybe she was too young at that time?

Was her Jennifer always bitchy from the outset? From SFT on, Morgan seemed to play that character only.

But I like the idea of Alice taking a turn to the dark side. If Rachel could reform, the surely Alice could devolve. It would have been an interesting twist.

Alice should have been angry that Rachel got a happy ending but she lost Steve. Some moves to discredit Rachel and maybe an unholy alliance with Iris.

Catching up on some of these good posts:

Paul, MF's Jennifer was bitchy from the outset on SFT.

What beautiful pictures of Irene Dailey, and Anna Holbrook looks fabulous.

IIRC, Sally was Alice's adopted daughter. This was the adoption story Jacquie Courtney refused to play and was fired. (Of course there was much else going on that had led up to this crisis.) The story was played out with Susan Harney, and a piddly little story it turned out to be. After Steve's death, Alice wanted to adopt a child which just happened to be the granddaughter of Rachel's housekeeper, Beatrice (Jacqueline Brookes). Rachel was backing Beatrice, of course, and it looked like maybe there were be a custody trial, then everyone decided to be reasonable adults, and I think Jacqueline Brookes left not long afterward.

I did not know that Tracy Brooks Swope and Barbara Baxley were ever on AW! April-September 1982 was about the time I was making a major move, and soap viewing fell by the wayside. I loved Tracy Brooks Swope on WTHI, and had always loved Barbara Baxley's distinctive low-pitched voice which brought her so many commercial voiceovers during the years.

I always knew Debra Messing wasn't a natural redhead.
