It helped that Thomas Ian Griffith and Mary Page Keller shared incredible chemistry.  Otherwise, Catlin and Sally, IMO, were a pretty generic couple.

Mary Page Keller comments quite often on the Another World Memories Twitter page. I have interacted with her a few times and she is as lovely as I had hoped she would be. She also shares memories of the cast.

It would have killed me if she was nasty.  lol.  I have also interacted with Mark Pinter and Faith Ford on the Another World Memories Twitter and they are also really cool and nice.

What other than chemistry elevates any couple? I don't think you can make a "supercouple" on storyline alone, or even acting range.

Trying to think of other RL couples. Sandy and Cecile weren't a supercouple, were they?

Separate pages under Miscellaneous for Backstage Romances and Marriages

Raising my eyebrows at David Forsyth and Anne Heche.

Marriages doesn't distinguish between people who were already married when the other one was cast vs people who met on set. It also takes some work to figure out which characters were onscreen couples. In some cases the spouse had a very minor role.

I had (ridiculously) forgotten about Tom Eplin and Ellen Wheeler being married.

That presumes a lot of knowledge about when they were on the show that isn't listed unless you cross-check the character guide. Even though Matt and Robin married after the show was canceled, how would I tell whether they were even on the show at the same time without looking it up separately?

Which made EW's Marley sudden obsession with Jake, who had raped her years ago, even more awkward.

Just a quick comparison --  George Reinholt was 36 years old, when he was fired from Another World.  Brian Gaskill (AMC's Bobby Warner) is now 52 years old, yet he looks young enough to be George Reinholt's son. Can someone explain that?   LOL.

    • Yes! I actually started typing something up the other day but ended up not posting. It pretty much said something to the effect of the show feeling like there were a lot of balls in the air, the stories almost felt aimless. I am sure most of these will come to a head soon enough. I also wondered if it had something to do with the changes behind the scenes, but these lulls between major moments truly kill the momentum.
    • Will concede it's moving along slowly, but I am still hinged on every word every second. I refuse to miss anything.  OTOH, I watch GH were things are moving along  little quicker, but I have to FF certain scenes because it's extremely repetitive, where I don't get that from BTG.
    • I am toggling between Apr ‘82 Kay and Nikki, and Aug ‘92 Kay and Nikki… and it is a jarring juxtaposition! Nikki has calcified into a Stepford Wife

    • I've watched the show faithfully since the premiere, but I've found that I've let myself fall behind the past few weeks. It sort of feels like nothing is happening again. Does anyone else feel the same way? I would think for November sweeps they'd be pulling out all the stops.
    • I didn't even watch but saw the recap. I can't believe Billy Flynn has been saddled with all of this. He so deserved better.
    • Vernon was spotted by the worst person possible. Leslie is definitely going to use that to her advantage somehow.
    • Yesss! I cackled when Dr. Walked told Leslie to Google him (check my credentials). What is Elon's issue with Izaiah again? Considering we are supposed to believe that Izaiah was some troubled youth, why wouldn't Elon be gald his son has seemed to mature and has job at a great school. I get that family wounds and patterns can run deep, and somehow Joey was a paternal figure to Izaiah but Izaiah's troubles seem behind him.

    • Yeah. I wasn't feeling it either. If it was meant to be a chem test, it didn't work. I don't think so. Because I think Neil and Liz moved into that house after Stefano "died", and Neil lived there until he went to go see his patients and never came back

    • Canada aired a repeat today Tues. Nov. 18. So after being a day ahead for the past week, they will now be back in sync with U.S.
