Thank you, thank you, THANK. YOU. Sheffer always talks about giving soap guys their d**ks back; and with characters like Billy and Victor, he's certainly done just that.

And I think they brought back Mac with the hopes of restarting the Billy/Mac relationship. That's why they also reversed Kay-is-Jill's-mom. (Well, that, and people plain just didn't like the idea.) Unfortunately, though, I think this latest go-round, between a "Billy" and "Mac" who, IMO, have zero chemistry, will be the one to finish this relationship for good.

I give ALL the credit for Y&R's turn around to Sheffer. MAB was horrendous before. The show was boring and her Sabrina/Victor love was yucky. Whatever problems Hogan has brought is overshadowed by Y&R finally being interesting and having story pace once more. Kudos to Hogan.

We could fix Billy-Mac in one episode...maybe two.

Billy goes to visit Lily for some contrived reason. He finds her on that damnable ladder, trying to change a lightbulb, but she can't reach.

Billy says "I can change a lightbulb", climbs up, tumbles, and lands on his head.

He has a terrible concussion, and is in a coma.

Mac finds out, runs to the hospital. Her defenses down, she weeps bitterly and confides all the feelings she has been suppressing for Delia's sake.

It is wracking, heaving sobs...totally heartfelt emotion. Billy hears none of it, but maybe Chloe does.

Then Billy awakes, no worse for the wear. Mac goes back to her suppression, but now we all know. Also, having articulated her feelings, Mac's eyes from now on betray her emotions.

Fixed it.

 I got my Master's there. But I was too lazy to "make it to class" this morning.

Word. And I learn something new on this board all the time so keep up with the hig-brow posting! It is thanks to sheilaforever (and TGVN) that I can drop "egregious" into everyday conversation now.

IA. Mac was brought back to reconnect with Billy. I am biased, though, and as a (new) Billy Miller fan, I do think the actor works hard to draw out as much chemistry as he can from his screen partners. The kiss Billy gave Mac on Tuesday gave me a few goosebumps, but I'm fully aware that it was because Billy was holding her face and doing the kissing. Perhaps if AshBash had come back as Mac, it would have been more impactful?

I do think he has more chem with CF than Hendricksen, though. I love EH and Chloe a ton but I don't see the pash between her and Billy.

That story would've totally worked if Daniel wasn't depicted as being a simple horndog. If Lily wasn't giving it away, it would all make sense!

Thanks Khan. I feel better about LML now LMAO.

They definitely are two devils in a pod.

Maybe Billy's been so loose cause he's actually the one who's on the DL. Overcompensation much?

about it I think Jan is a fine supporting part for a solid daytime vet (probably someone from the P&G soaps), as opposed to someone from the production location who is clearly cheaper. Which seems to govern some casting. I get the rationale, but I would start going through the ATWT/GL, etc. rolodex myself.
    • I dont mind Jan. She's good in the minor capacity she is used.
    • tbqh I don't care about Jan, I don't care about Ashley and I think Jon Lindstrom as Joey is an acquired taste. Jon is a great actor but certain things are in his zone and then some are not. Some days I find Joey credible and compelling, but the stuff with him hanging around the Golden Corral, grumbling about Doug and bitching at Randy is not amazing. If he had material on par with what MVJ wrote for Ryan/Kevin on GH back in the day it'd be a different story. I do think he has real chemistry with Vanessa, which is in large part due to MVJ clearly molding that character (and hiring an appropriate actor) in the Lucy Coe vein when she reinvented Lucy in the '90s as well. But I am not here to spend 6+ months watching Jon glower a lot (which is what he's doing half the time to carry weak story) and make more vague dire pronouncements while Jen Jacob gets flustered and weepy over "Daddy" or whatever would come of that storyline. Putting them together sounds like a recipe for doom to me. But I may be in the minority on that.
    • I know this will never happen. But... Halle Berry as Dani Dupree(BTG). She would rock this role, it's in her wheelhouse.
    • When I see how bad the Ashley/Derek scenes are, I know there must be a larger purpose and Joey being her father is the thing that makes the most sense.  My take on it is that Ashley knows Joey is her father but doesn't know Joey. Maybe he was there when she was a child or just not around at all but I believe Jan when she says she didn't lie to her daughter about who her father was. Maybe she left him when she discovered his dangerous lifestyle.  I do think they could really jump start the character of Ashley if they hurry and do this. Jan is a great character and her scenes with Ashley have been helpful. This would further integrate Ashley into the canvas and give her something dramatic to do. With her working at the hospital along with Doug, it could lead to complications if she learns Doug is involved with her father. I just need is sooner rather than later because Derek is tanking her character. I need a distraction.
