Maligning her what?! Oh, Mark, whatever they're giving you in the hospital waiting room, either quit, or share with the rest of us!

[Moila]But Gloria looks so young and beautiful![/Moila]

Okay. Thanks to brimike, I can't resist taking a sneak peek. I can only see the words...but

1. Phyllis and Mary Jane as friends, with Sharon as mutual enemy? Is that what is happening? I could love nothing more!

2. Gloria can't stop being reckless. Michael told her to shut up...and she couldn't!

3. Judge Green accused Gloria of "intentional recklessness". Hey--that's my word! That's why I love my little train wreck :).

4. How does Victor's offshore bank failing fit in? Does that mean that even TAHT money goes away for Gloria? She's reduced to nothing? If yes, that would be interesting...to see her claw her way back up to the top.

Viewers who hate Gloria should be happy that she finally has her comeuppance! Jail, destitute, and stuck with Jeff. What more can people want? (Don't say 'write her off the show', unless you mean 'send her to B&B' :) )

5. Thank GOD Gloria called Ashley on her role in John's death! "You gotta know in your heart you're partly to blame for your father's death." It must have hit home, too, since Ashley retorted so defensively, "You are nothing but a gold-digging, narcissistic, delusional bitch."

6. Wouldn't it be perfect if GLORIA

No thanks, the show doesn't need another writer who doesn't know the fundamentals of writing for daytime, as well as all that daytime writing entails. I do not want a primetime, novelist, or playwright penning this show.

Mulcahey is far from recycled.

ETA: He's one of the few people I know that quits his shows whenever the go in a direction he doesn't like. B&B might be an exception there, but I doubt he has the say there that he had on SB, GL, and GH.

As an avowed, lifelong Big Bird fan, I resent the implication!

Besides, BB only eats birdseed milkshakes. (DUH!)

Gloria: No! No! My Eyes! MY EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYES!!!!!

At GloHo's funeral, waiting for a piece of the action--whatever's left.

    • It was a real-life instance; I remember he had IG stories about the injury.
    • I don't know what killed Penny's husbands, but that sentence about "losing two husbands in automobile accidents & is now married to a racing-car driver" made me laugh out loud.
    • Shari Anderson was also head writer for a few months before the strike began.
    • I would agree.  Does anyone ever notice in Jan 1988/even Dec 1987, the show started to refer to characters from the past and mainly the Frame family?   It sounded like Lemay talk.  Jason Frame mentioned his sister Sharlene in early 88 but the ending credits still listed MD has head writer and I think Lemay was about to take over at that point.  The show hired Lemay back I believe to prepare for the 25th anniversary and try to recapture the audience that was lost by bringing the past back up.  Then the writers strike happened and all of a sudden the writing changed except when Sharlene Frame came back and we heard more family chatter again.  Maybe at this time they knew the strike was coming near to an end the producer forced the scab writing team to introduce Sharlene. I suspect even though Lemay was not writing at the time, the intent was he is coming back and the show consulted with him on his future storylines.
    • -- My Laugh of the Day goes to Carly calling the Metro Court a "five-star hotel." -- It's crazy, but what Drew did to Wiley makes Drew come off worse than if he actually murdered someone. -- Cynthia Wattros really needs to lay off the Botox. Because her face doesn't move, she's doing WAY too much with her eyes. -- Josh Kelly is looking so good with the new haircut. -- Rory Gibson continues to impress as nuMichael. Just another reminder that Josh Griffith doesn't know how to write for talent. -- This Lucky goodbye is sad -- in all the wrong ways. It could not be more pathetic. There's no doubt in my mind that Valentini told the writers they had 3 days to write him out and to make it ugly. No one will miss JJ.

      We all have our picks
    • Teach me to post cocky about all these rampant relations! As for the cut, it just made Leo Howard look more stunningly handsome. There are guys I think are hotter, but he's got the prettiest face hands down.
    • Yes Arianna and Tate are blood related through Sami and Theresa. They are also adoptive/honorary related because Arianna's third.parent is Sonny, which makes Arianna and Tate related through Justin and Isabella.
    • I saw more about Biden Old or the staged feud between Elon and Trump or just the usual distractions, but I will admit I don't stomach most of the news anyway.
