I guess we should all be thankful she's in good health and will be on our screen for a few more years.

Don't think so. JW missed no episodes as it seems.

Jess probably left mid week last week, and it was all settled by the beginning of this week.... I am sure she did not miss any scenes. Even if she did, they probably postponed them until they new what they were going to have to do.
