March 27, 200916 yr Member Well looking at those it seems that AMC and OLTL had a slight benefit on Thursday due to the preemptions.ATWT's ratings sucked all week that it was on, and so did GL's. B&B had 2.4's all across the board Mon-Weds. GH was the only ABC soap to have a 1.8 that whole week! lol. That's funny too....ABC had a 2.0 that day, OLTL a 1.9, and GH a 1.8. So much for GH being the crown jewel of ABC Daytime.
March 27, 200916 yr Member I thought GL was pretty good last week, I wasn't expecting them to drop by -2. Oh well. I guess I should enjoy the show wile it's still on.

March 27, 200916 yr Member So much for JFP producing an hour of soap opera every day of every year! Goodnight JFP! Its pink slip time! But, you know as well as I do what will happen. GH will probably win once best drama series once again.
March 27, 200916 yr Member As far as GL's future, when is its latest contract ending? Was the April deadline ever really confirmed?
March 27, 200916 yr Member SteveFrame- You would be a wonderful PR person for AMC. You spin the heck outta those ratings and I love it! Well it is a mixed blessing right now. I want AMC to survive and all of soaps for that matter. But at the same time I am not as happy about AMC as I was in the latter part of 2008. From Oct to December and even part of February I was in love with AMC again. January was terrible. March for me has been almost unbearable. There is just so much right now I am not feeling. The wonderful balance that the show had for awhile is gone and there is just way too much Ryan, Zach and Kendall for my liking. I wanted to point out the truth about the ratings though even though I am not happy about the show. I keep thinking in the back of my mind if the ratings just went down that they would see we want more of other characters again but at the same time I want to see the show do oaky too.
March 27, 200916 yr Member Wow, Days overtook GH in the 18-49 women demo. They must be melting down at ABC. Be prepared for a new mob war, folks. Let's speculate about the ethnicity of Sonny's new enemies. They are running out of countries. Didn't they already to the Mexicans? Maybe the Colombians or the French are up next. LOL!
March 27, 200916 yr Member But, you know as well as I do what will happen. GH will probably win once best drama series once again. But by August, GH could be at a 1.7. Another emmy won't make up for being ABC's LOWEST RATED DAYTIME DRAMA!
March 27, 200916 yr Member Everytime I say that ABC will buy Days nobody agrees. I would never want that to happen because they would cancel OLTL- no doubt in my mind, especially now considering AMC's growth and pedigree as a crown jewel. GH could drop to a 1.4 and they would still cancel OLTL first for Days. I think it's not the ABC would not be interested in DAYS its that Ken Corday WOULD NEVER EVER let ABC buy the show. ABC owns all their show outright and Corday would never let that happen. He would see the show die first before that happened.
March 27, 200916 yr Member But by August, GH could be at a 1.7. Another emmy won't make up for being ABC's LOWEST RATED DAYTIME DRAMA! No it won't....but GH seems to always get awards it doesn't deserve.
March 27, 200916 yr Member As far as GL's future, when is its latest contract ending? Was the April deadline ever really confirmed? I heard it was renewed for another year. I am thisclose to dropping GL again. It's still the same mess. Grant shouldnt have returned.
March 27, 200916 yr Member This just proves that even when OLTL is stumbling like a kid with fetal alcohol syndrome, it is better than GH. Suck it! And no, this DAYS will be bought [!@#$%^&*] has gotta stop. People been sayin' that for YEARS and it has never happened. Why? Because Kenny Corday burned his bridges and the show is walking dead. Walking. dead. It just looks alive. Edited March 27, 200916 yr by Vee
March 27, 200916 yr Member But by August, GH could be at a 1.7. Another emmy won't make up for being ABC's LOWEST RATED DAYTIME DRAMA! Even if GH becomes the lowest rated soap on ABC, it will still get a hell of a lot more attention and money from ABC than AMC and OLTL will ever get.

There's always Mendorra, or my 80's OLTL favorite mythical island- Zaroon! ABC owns those names outright, so they can be used by any ABC show.
