Where did we say that?

And I won't even bring up the embarrassment that was Shick's ONS and how they professed their love for one another only for Nick to go running back to Phyllis and commit himself to her....

However yes I think she may be in denial. Right now she truly believes that she's in love with Cane and that they belong together. She's hurt. She's angry and she's rejected him twice. I'm not discounting what Billy did or her previous relationship with Cane.

However there's a completely difference between the 2 of them. Billy and Lily are obviously not in the same situation and not coming from the same place so why should I expect them to be in the same place when it comes to them?

Again where have I or Sarah said that Lily is in love with Billy. As far as I know she hasn't said the words out loud yet.

I won't speak for Sarah but I do think Lily has STRONG feelings for Billy and that she hasn't fully explored them yet because of Cane and all this mess regarding Chloe. SO until that happens I'm of the belief that Billy and Lily could be a great couple and that Billy does love Lily and that she may love him back.

You didn't state that explicitally, but you did claim it wasn't over for Billy and Lily. I'd like to know how that's so when clearly Lily thinks of Cane as her soulmate, and the writing infers her feelings for Billy are not on par.

Even when she was "with" Billy, they always wrote it in a way where she was clearly in love with Cane. All those long stares, long moments, and close encounters weren't for nothing. I'm not a fan, but from what I see, the writing clearly favours Lily and Cane as a couple.

Well, it obviously takes two people in love to make a realtionship work. Lily has stated numerous times that it's Cane she loves, not Billy.

And did I ever say you said anything? You need to stop these ridiculous assumptions about other posters. I was simply replying to a post Sarah made, I wasn't trying to belittle her opinion. This is a message board where dicussion is required.

My point was we can assume that Billy has feelings for Lily that might be on par or greater than what he feels for Chole, but the same cannot be said for Lilly in regards to Billy, at least from what I've seen.

She may love him back, but they certainly don't write her love for Billy in the same vein they write her love for Cane, and I can't stand either couple.

Red,

איזה אידיוט לא מאמין בנאדם חכם יש את היכולת סיבה מהמקום. That's in Hebrew, email me I will tell you what it means. ;)

I have no problem with you speaking for me on this subject. You are an excellent debater. Even though I'm very disappointed in Y&R at the moment. They do have a good track record at remembering history. I do think history will repeat it's self and those words from Billy will come back to hunt Lily in a good way.

Actually Sharon is the one who professed her love for Nick, Nick did not and still hasn't. He loves her but he is not in love with her. Let's just say he time-traveled backwards on this one and whatever he said then was "in the moment". And until I see him not look at Sharon like she is a "wounded puppy" or a "vulnerable waif" with that naseauting looking of MASSIVE GUILT in his eyes, that "true love" malarkey is just that, malarkey. Nick is trying to fully commit to Phyllis but he really can't do that completely until he frees himself of GUILT and let go of the past and then sees enlightenment. She asks him these subtle questions to gauge if he "is in love with her again" and anytime he doesn't take the bait, she acts like she is the one who is sending him back to Phyllis. The girl is good, I have to hand it to her!! This is going to be so blooming MESSY..WOOHOO!!!! :P

As for Billy & Lilly, I think we can call it a day on that pairing - Billy is too HOTTTT for Lily. Plus rumor out there in cyberspace is Mac will be back so that will most likely put a kebash on the pairing as well. But I don't want to see Billy wasted on Lily not for another nanosecond!!

The problem is that you suggest a lot of things....as in you said quote, "yeah she SO wants Billy back."

I dunno about you but where I'm from you're trying to infer that Sarah and by extension I (since I'm a fan of Billy and Lily) believe that Lily wants him back when that couldn't be further from the truth. Moving on it seems like you do that a lot. You'll say something but more importantly it's the things you're NOT saying that really make me respond to you.

And thanks Sarah for your comments! I'll definitely PM you soon.

It's my posting style, and I do use a lot of irony. I cannot help it if you don't like it, and I certainly won't stop it. From what I've seen, Lily doesn't want Billy back, and I don't see the writers giving Lily and Billy another chance, and if they do get one, I don't see it working out again. But that's what I see, and I am entitled to post it here.

My point was, I'd love to know how there's hope for Billy and Lily when the writing is clearly bias in regards to Lily's feels and overall love for Cane. The last I checked, it took equal amonths of unconditional love to make just about any relationship work.

Moving on, it seems like you make a ton of assumptions and generlizations about other posters, many of which you do not know personally and probably don't have a sense of how they post outside of the Y&R threads.

^^^^Irony is cool and all but it comes off more as dripping sarcasm and it's not just you. But I'm not going to nitpick on that.

LOL

Sharon is just a genius at this stuff. I swear I go back to that scene between Nick and Phyllis at Restless Style where they were arguing over her schemes with Brad to separate Sharon from Jack and for him to move in for the kill...

Phyllis said something along the lines of "Gosh I LOVE Sharon! No really I do! She stopped the kiss! She told you to take it easy on me! YAY FOR SHARON!"

I was just laughing my ass off. I felt so bad for Phyllis but at the same time was just drop dead in shock at how ridiculous the whole thing was and how she must be feeling at the time. I wish I could find that scene on Youtube. Just classic dialogue from the one and only Phyllis Newman.

"Sweet your threats are HOLLOW!"

Are you KIDDING me? Who are you to tell me what the point of my post(s) was/were? The point of my post was........drumroll..........that Colleen is nowhere near the character that Jill is. Never has been, never will be. To me, it's crazy to even compare the two. I didn't call y&r fan a loony toon or anything of the sorts. And guess what? There were many posts prior to mine that stated the very same thing, albeit in not exactly the same terms. I don't see you attacking those posters. It's getting tired that every time I give an opposing viewpoint, you chime in like you're the posting police. But, as always, you make personal slights and attack me & my style of posting rather than my actual opinion. I'm over it.

 Just because The Red Warrior made you into a victim doesn't mean you have to act like one. We both know better.

You're right. Rahmer is the far superior actress. The Soap Opera Bible Opinion has spoken.

Thank you. These threads did not look like this a month ago & it's going way too far now.

Y&R was freaking AWESOME today. I about jumped out of my seat when Gina walked into that slum bar- because I knew what was coming. However, I HATE that they're making Daniel act like a total jerk to Amber lately just because MG may be leaving the show. Please oh please don't just flush this great couple down the toilet. I'd hate to see their relationship end like this.

I was thrilled that Jill wouldn't sell Esther her half of the house. I knew my Jill wasn't going to bust out her checkbook with sleazy Roger sitting right there. Jill continues to be on fire. Also, I was happy that Chloe finally mentioned annulment. Since she and Cane never consummated their relationship, she certainly has grounds for it.

I KNEW Phyllis was sizing Sharon up. LOVED Sharon snarking at her freedom comment RE: Noah's car. And LOL at Sharon taking that picture from the ranch. Sticky Fingers Sharon ROCKS!

Kevin Schmidt is just a revelation as Noah. He's so natural. I continue to warm to Eden too- especially since the pair do have some chemistry. I'm actually invested in 16 year old characters on a soap, which rarely happens. It's a testament to Schmidt's talents.

Can someone please explain to me why Ashley looked so curious at the end when she was eavesdropping on Victor & Nikki's conversation? I'm serious- I have NO clue!

Lily and Cane love making scene was hot lily looked great in her undies she has such a good body and Cane looked yummy shirtless when 2 hot people make out thats what i call smokin!.

And OMG love the way Cane twirls Lily everytime it comes to a romantic scene. Lily has been carried and swept of her feet right from the start with Daniel, then Cane, Billy, Cane did anyone else notice this?? i mean its weird they dont do it to any other characters im guessing its because Lily is light/petite so she is easy to carry and well Cane was in the Beast master remember?

Eden is ok i guess. But i so much prefer Abby because atleast she is a very pretty and gorgeous looking girl, her acting isnt that average but atleast she is entertaining to watch. I like her being snobby rich kid. It would be boring if she was sweet, innocent because it gives you nothing to talk about.

Eden vs Abby. I was wondering when they were going to have Abby blame her. They were probably giving them time to build up their acting skills but it didnt work. Those girls are dreadful

I like Annie! She's a great mix of campy fun. Too bad she will most likely be gone soon.

    • I think @Darn @Faulkner and others have a fair point re: it being an unfortunate look and coincidence. I can see their point about the two Black husbands in rapid succession, without much time in between. Frankly, based on the early casting notices I thought before the show's debut (and I still suspect) that Ted's crimes might be far worse than infidelity or a secret baby. That would've mixed it up more. It's a soap, people are going to cheat, but it might've given them more variety if Nicole was stepping out first. Still, I wouldn't trade the Leslie/Eva reveal material for anything right now. Still, Fanfic Account #3 is just looking for any weapon to attack the show for not accepting his unsolicited scripts. When it's not the husbands it's Martin, or Chelsea or Dani. He's seething it got renewed.
    • I'm pretty sure Lucy and Bridget never even have another scene together for the rest of the time they're both on the show. Bridget isn't even invited to the wedding! The lack of community feeling and continuity of non-romantic relationships during this period is very jarring. Characters suddenly only seem to interact with a handful of other characters, rather than characters across the canvas. I'm deep into 1997 in my watch right now and find that it's even stranger because the show goes back and forth between ignoring history in order to manufacture some kind of separation between characters (for example, at one point Amanda refers to the Coopers as a family that the Spauldings "barely know," despite her and Alan spending the better part of 1996 going to war with Buzz over 5th street, and Alan has absolutely no reaction when he finds out about something bad that's happened to Abby, which seems pretty out of character given how close they were in 95/96) and ignoring history in order to create a sense of community that doesn't quite fit (characters who couldn't stand Amanda are suddenly acting all buddy buddy with her). The wheels really feel like they're coming off in 1997 (although I know some would argue that the wheels started to come off years earlier). Watching the Marcus/Dahlia romance again from a 2025 perspective is so weird. Marcus is a full grown man who must be at least in his mid-20s and he's dating a teenager who is not only still in high school, but is still fully a year away from graduation, and no one says anything about how creepy that is. I feel like the buzz around Marcus gave the illusion that the show was more invested in him than it ever actually was. Even during his "big" story where he's arrested for Cutter's murder, he actually doesn't appear on screen very often. He's imprisoned, Griffin is brought on, other characters make a fuss about trying to get him out, but there's a long stretch of time where he doesn't appear at all. I've been keeping episode counts while I watch and between Cutter's death in mid-November of 1995 and the end of the year Marcus/Mambo only appears 7 times (and of that only twice in December).
    • The letter reading was very emotional, and Maeve really got to me too. I was a little worried because Vanessa doesn't give a speech at the funeral, which surprised me, but then we got the private letter reading and her true emotional reaction and I was satisfied there. The YouTube channel I watch these episodes on (if not on our Vault), also had upset commenters talk about how Nola's line about Henry not accepting her at first/seen as a gold-digger was totally untrue. It's sad the writers don't do their homework and give fans the respect (and the characters respect). And yep, Bill got up and spoke at the funeral too, which was nice.  I didn't even realize that was Sharon Leal until you said it!  I had to Google it. I loved Sharon Leal in Boston Public back in the day haha. LOL at your Reva/Josh ALWAYS commentary. What is RME though?
    • Leslie is an extreme liar and manipulator. I'm not sure what her point was in trying to convince Nicole she wasn't trying to hurt her. As much as Eva did help orchestrate the entire plot I feel like there was too much piling on. Eva never said she wanted to be a Dupree so Anita was extremely out of line for that comment.

That's positive and something to look forward to for sure, because you're right, 1996 so far isn't nearly as good as 1995. Ohh - what is Lonatrat?  Sadly you're probably right. I did feel like David was rarely seen once Marcus came on. That would have been an interesting spin, having Frank and Tina be teenage lovers and Dahlia really being his daughter. I'm getting the sense that Tina won't be seen too much anymore, as she just left Dahlia with Frank/Eleni as she's heading to jail for a while. I like the Tina actress too!  Her voice sounds a bit like Rosie Perez to me, which I love. I tried to find her online, but coming up empty. This was the only thing I could find about Tina Crede - a character snapshot video with clips and stills of her (randomly starting just before the 1:00 mark):

That's wild that the David actor is nearly 40 here! Definitely surprises me.
    • 5-6   Meh. It already looks like a scattershot week.    5-5 was actually a good episode. Damian and Lily. Phyllis finally going on the warpath that I knew she could get on with Billy and Sally. Nate started to question Audra and Victor's alliance. And I was not even bugged by Kyle and Claire.   But then there's Cole's off-screen story. Kyle and Claire going back to being whiny. And them even wanting Adam's penthouse just sounded like trying to keep the set around. And Diane shouldn't even give a flying frak about Billy's opinion. And Tessa, Daniel, and the guitars...yeeeah no.   But hey...JM looked good in that short. And those pants.  I agree. One of Y&R's good points with fans has always been that you do at least see the vets. And IN stories.
    • One of the things that I found unnecessary and a bit disturbing about Ambitions was that in almost every episode someone was holding or shooting a gun.  Jamey and Ron seem to have the same fetish.
    • I had thought that there was a Tommy Biddles on there, but then I realized I was thinking of Dr. Biddles on Santa Barbara. Never mind!
