February 23, 200917 yr Member Mickey Rourke ruinied his chances by getting involved with the WWE! I'm glad he did because Sean Penn RULES! Mickey Rourke will cash in and make millions doing action flicks so no reason to feel sorry for him! The whole WWE thing never happened so I don't think that had any thing to do with it.
February 23, 200917 yr Member And I did not like the way the acting categories were presented. I don't like to waste time. Just get to the winner and get it the hell over with. I'd MUCH rather watch clips of the performances over watching former winners give heartfelt speeches to the nominees while reading off a teleprompter.

February 23, 200917 yr Member Ratings were up 10%, so hopefully they'll incorporate last night's elements in to future ceremonies. Although I hope the Emmys and GG's don't just copy everything. Edited February 23, 200917 yr by bandbfan
February 24, 200917 yr Member I loved it. It really honored the history by having the "clubs" accept new members into their fold with the speeches, and that the speeches drew parallels between the one giving the speech and the one they were speaking about. LOL, about the screwup where Philip Seymour Hoffman was referred to as "Seymour Philip Hoffman", did you see his face?!
February 24, 200917 yr Member As good as Slumdog was and it deserves the accolades..... its going to go down as one of the most forgettable Best Picture winners ever.... much the way of Crash and Chariots of Fire.... Yay for Kate I felt the whole presentation came off rather forced and boring at times..... or all the hype... did not live up to it. It was also one of the most predictable years in recent memory. No real surprises.... however I suppose Sean Penn could be seen as somewhat of a surprise. I really thought they would have given it to Rourke.
February 25, 200917 yr Member If the first two months are any indication, 2009 is going to be a good year for Freida Pinto: The film in which she made her acting debut, Slumdog Millionaire, just picked up eight Oscars at the award show Sunday night, her next project is slated to be a Woody Allen flick, and she has yet to make a fashion misstep in any of her major appearances. NYLON sat down with the star to find out just what it was like filming the blockbuster movie—and why she cried the first time she watched it. http://www.nylonmag.com/?section=article&parid=2671
