The Inauguration of Barack Obama

Not only do we have our first black president, but after eight years of stupidity and incompetence, it feels nice to have a president who is articulate and intelligent and has staffed his administration with people who are qualified to perform their jobs.

I think I'll wait before I make that kind of judgment, so far Obama hasn't impressed me, especially when he was running for office. Anyone can say they'll do this and that, I want to SEE them do it instead of paying lip service to it.

Yes, I believe you are correct.

Now what isher name?

I don't understand something here. MSNBC has just reported that when Kennedy had his seizure, the Secret Service rushed Obama out of the room.

For what reason? Would there be a security threat?

Well if they weren't sure who was sick, it could've been something in the food. I know that's something in movies, but you never know.

Um, do you pay attention to politics? Obama has nominated staff for his cabinet already (6 were confirmed by the senate today) and he has chosen people with experience, unlike Bush. You might want to check CNN for more information.

It looks like it was fatigue and Sen. Kennedy will be OK.

President Obama -- I so enjoy saying that -- is taking charge. He's instructed agencies not to implement any midnight executive orders until they are reviewed by the incoming administration. He's meeting tomorrow with the Secretary of Defense to get the ball rolling on a withdrawal from Iraq. He's also meeting with this economic team to get the ball rolling on a bi-partisan economic recovery plan.

We didn't get into our current mess over night and we should not expect to get out of it quickly either. I'm happy that the President and, apparently, members of Congress in both parties are going to try to work together.

I bet J.Crew is loving this. CNN said the daughters were wearing J.Crew. And there's an inaguration message on their website.

Yeah, everything was great.

Michelle and Barack's dance was sweet at one of the 10 balls they attended.

But I am not a fan of Michelle's fashion sense. I thought her lime green outfit was hideous and I don't like the gown she's wearing to the balls. But whatever, this isn't about that.

Great day!

Agreed. Jill Biden's outfit was a billion times better than Michelle's, IMO.

Is anyone else watching the neighborhood ball? An does anyone else think nick cannon got thrown a bone because his wife mariah carey was one of the performers. What the hell is going on with Jay-z's fashion sense, first the hideous hat and now the big oversized glasses, he's been hanging out with kanye too much. The Obama's looked great in their first dance. I liked Michelle's lime-green outfit, and her ball gown is just okay.

I know that the Obamas must be wiped out right now. They have heard the same song 5 times now when they danced at these balls.
