I know everyone hates him, but go read the Nelson Branco interview with Maria Bell and Paul Rauch. She came across as strong, intelligent, slightly bitchy (in a good way- she made it clear a few times after Nelson mentioned Hogan, that what we see onscreen is all HER VISION, SHE controls what is on screen...It made me laugh- On one hand it was off putting, on the other hand- THIS is what a show needs; a strong writer with a vision and a strong producer to carry it out..

I think Daytimefan's description of her was right on. I don't think Maria Bell suffers fools gladly..

Y&R is the only soap I would want to work on- especially as a writer- but I bet Maria requires perfection.

Any scriptwriter being hired at Y&R better have a few back up plans and lots of money saved!

I'm glad to see that you get what I'm talking about. MAB does not suffer fools, period. Life's too short and the show can only be staffed by those who satisfy her whims. Indeed, she is slightly bitchy, but it's bitchy in a Martha Stewart or Judge Judy kind of way (ie: In Control) rather than being a flamboyant mess.

Not for nothing but I'm hearing that Barbara Bloom only sends emails to the Y&R set now...

To quote Seth Myers and Amy Poehler from SNL's Weekend Update: "Really!?......... Really!?......... Really!?"

Do the AMC editors hate Lynsey or something? You cannot seriously make that huge of mistake.

And of course this from a couple years ago.....

"Lynsey Darfour"

Well, at least they remembered the "O." Oh, and it at least somewhat, sort of, maybe resembles her name. That's it. Those are the only bright spots I can find.

Joanna Bugler, on the other hand, was just a flat out insult. <_<

Seriously, though. Nobody spotted that before it went to air?

ETA: The funny thing is we have a school bus company here in Connecticut named Dufour -- and when all the news broke out, I kept confusing Darfur with Dufour, too. Interesting how things work out.
