Okay, what is his definition of a Hair Model? I've always taken that to be an actor who has looks over substantive acting ability. Because he seems to be under the mistaken impression that Tari Signor is pretty and was somehow hired for her looks. Well, I suppose she was, if by looks you mean "looking batshit crazy all the damn time".

I was wondering about that too. I've never seen any indication that TS lacks acting chops. But she does have nice hair so maybe she really has worked as a hair model in the past. Who knows? After all, it's Nelson Branco, reality is optional.

I am a little tired of the stilted comments regarding OLTL from people who don't even watch it. They are so disgusted by Todd/Marty (which I completely understand) and continue to trash a show they don't even watch. Its dumb.

RoseViolet- I know you were disgusted but I really appreciate that you at least watch the show and give logical reviews on the other storylines, instead of just venting here and calling the show trash, trash, trash based on one reason.

OLTL is excellent right now.

And as far as that Signor woman, I refused to watch OLTL then due to Higley, the reign of John and Evangeline- I thought the show was unwatchable.

But I did watch clips on Youtube since and I thought she sucked. I don't like campy villians (granted, that's Dena's brilliant writing) I thought she was horribly over the top without any nuance or subtext. Its sledgehammer acting like Bree Williamson. She reminds me of that godawful Hayley Mills on B&B. Pure camp. Embarrassing soap acting.

And sorry, OLTL is still crap, full of go nowhere nothing to see here move it along please don't watch us storylines. And them literally transporting The Bonjour from Paris, Texas to Llanview with NO ATTEMPT to make it look even slightly different is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

The only story I can get into somewhat right now is Jessica and Brody because they're both so pretty and damaged. And I'm not a fan of just watching for the pretty but the rest is such utter trash.

Darn- what do you think of AMC and GH? GH is complete trash. Do you enjoy that show?

I don't watch AMC at all so I have no idea.

Re: OLTL, I don't know what show you are watching buddy!

And I am warming up to Jessica and Brody.

Its kinda like Blair and John- I have loathed McBain since he first started, but sometimes a good actor/actress makes another actor much more appealing. I love that Mark Lawson and I generally think Bree is terrible. But he makes me like her.

Please excuse Darn, he's been drinking.

Glug, glug.

I think AMC is better than trash which isn't much better than anything. I'm not crazy about any story but I don't hate everybody anymore so that's a plus, right?

GH I don't watch.

This Todd/Marty abomination made me realize that I will never truly enjoy OLTL until Todd is gone (I used to actually say to a certain someone when OLTL WAS good that I enjoyed everything except Todd). Permanently. He is the albatross around that show's neck and it will never get better unless he's dead.

I love OLTL, but I do feel the character of Todd has run his course, and the show could absolutely survive without him. I'm not saying this as a reaction to the Todd/Marty storyline -- I was saying this back during the Higley years as well. Once upon a time, OLTL hinged on Todd Manning's character... like Sonny on GH. But not anymore - the rest of the show is in great shape, there are plenty of strong characters and storylines that could fill the void, and I have faith in this writing team to be able to carry the show beyond his exit.

I like Trevor, so this isn't a dig against him. I just think the character has done all he possibly can do - Higley tried to make him the anti-hero, and that didn't really gel. Bringing Todd back to the Marty/rape story implies to me that beyond going back to this rape over and over and over again, not to mention Todd laying claim to a baby over and over and over again - I just feel like I'm watching the same Todd Manning storyline over and over and over again, just variations on a theme.

OLTL had a great thing for 15 years with this character. It's okay to say goodbye and move on though. In my personal opinion.

Exactly. I have been a Todd "fan" (in quotes because even when I hated him I found him riveting) since the day he showed up on screen and ITA that he has run his course. Please, no more rape and no more knocking up women. At this point I wouldn't share a basket of french fries with Todd Manning for fear of getting pregnant. And while I think there are possible stories for the character of Todd OLTL isn't capable. I put Todd Manning in the same category as House, Dexter and Nancy Botwin from Weeds, definitely an acquired taste. Writing Todd out would be a perfect sensible choice. Although I would stay away from killing him. He's died too many times as it is.

• I truly love and respect executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell. He is one of the sweetest men to helm this industry, and he really cares about his soap and honouring his father’s legacy.

:o

Am I being Punk'd?

Does Kay Alden have Bell locked up in a cage somewhere at Maison Bell? Thanks to that joke Ellen Wheeler, that moron Christopher Goutman, that pig Brian Frons, and idiot Ken Corday, Bell has flown under the radar when he should have been taken to task much earlier before things got simply out of control. B&B is simply ridiculous. I can’t watch it. B&B’s become the new Passions of daytime in my opinion (foreshadow a major plot twist much, Brad?). I tried to tune back in when Phoebe died, but I couldn’t force myself to watch another second of this hot mess. Someone needs to have an intervention with Bradley — STAT. B&B and Y&R need to work in tandem in order to survive the next 10 years. Perhaps Maria can lend her co-head writer Hogan Sheffer to B&B for two weeks to consult. Or just let Patrick Mulcahey head write. I say this out of love: your show is in major trouble. And it has Kay Alden written all over it.

If I ever had any respect for Nelson Branco, I'd lose it now. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Alden is the good writer and Bell is the WGA's answer to leukemia.

In a way, I disagree. Kay and Brad are both very capable writers, for better or for worse I'd rather they write for B&B than anybody else (aside from Bill Bell of course)...Brad wrote a helluva show up until the Marone's and Jack Wagner burst onto the scene. From that point on, Brad has had to write around Jack Wagner who is the true albatross of this show.

Brad often has great ideas and Kay can write the arcs of a storyline like nobody's business. Brad is an 'idea man' and Kay is a 'worker bee'...neither one is a bad writer.

Nelson, for whatever reason, hates Kay Alden. He doesn't mind fabricating things to trash her. He said that she's the one who wrote the Kay & Jill are mother and daughter storyline which is a lie, it was Jack Smith.

I enjoy Nelson's columns, but it's true that he's either a fawning sycophant or a shrieking bitch. He doesn't know how to be fair or even handed.
