This should automatically be grounds for impeachment. But you know this Congress won't do jack.

Just empty words. Because rules don't apply to Diaper Donnie.

As per the typical NYC electoral situation in my years there I have no deep love for any of the current candidates and any number of issues with them, but there is room to grow. What I do have is a profound loathing for Andrew Cuomo. Rest in piss!

I have no real attachment to any of the mayoral candidates in NYC. But, like @Vee, I loathe the perv known as Andrew Cuomo. With so much chatter that Cuomo would be tough to beat, I am heartened that voters made it clear that they have had their fill of Mr. Touchy-Feely.

Let him and his brother go suck up to the right as fellow slime RFK, Jr. did. You know it's coming.

Cuomo seems so delusional I could see him still running in the general, even if he must know he'd have a tough time. I guess it depends on whether he'd rather try to help Eric Adams win.

Mamdani is the far left fantasy figure for many - charismatic, good looking, mostly able to stay on message - but I do wonder how he'll fare to November, especially with all the money and establishment media which will focus on his actual history and positions and associations, which are a mess.

I see evil Charlie Kirk is already trying to tie him to 9/11, which is the type of bigotry that inevitably works where even if he does win in November it will have a lasting effect.

I think Mamdani will likely take it. The other options are so loathsome and unpopular. I have issues with some of his policies and the people he's connected to or the language he's used, but I could say that about a lot of politicians and certainly NY ones. He can learn on the job, which AOC certainly did, or he'll collapse. We'll see how he does.

Either way the NY press will be gunning for him (and already are) in ways that will make di Blasio's tenure, or that of virtually any past liberal mayor, look like a day at the fair. If he wants to survive he will have to learn fast.

"An Irish lawmaker just torched the U.S. over its immigration policy—holding up a meme of J.D. Vance as a baby to slam the reported deportation of a Norwegian tourist who had it on his phone. The U.S. now denies that was the reason. "Unthinkable in a Western democracy,” she said."

The right-wing extremists on the Supreme Court just ruled to kill women today. That's what's going to happen. Elections matter.

In its assault on Planned Parenthood today, the Supreme Court gutted a provision of the Civil Rights Act of 1871 providing enforcement of federal rights. KBJ's dissent directly ties today's majority to the white supremacists who attacked civil rights during Reconstruction. slate.com/news-and-pol...
