Reminder that, as of noon on Inauguration Day, the
"POTUS" twitter and the the "VP" twitter accounts
get turned over to the new occupants of the offices.
The old twitter accounts are kept intact but the name is archived.

Trump has the POTUS account again (although he usually used his personal twitter during his prior term as president.)

J.D.Vance now has the VP twitter.

The old accounts are preserved by the National Archives, as follows:

Joe Biden's tweets as President are preserved at
https://x.com/POTUS46Archive

Kamala Harris' tweets as VP are preserved at
https://x.com/VP46Archive

Barack Obama's tweets as President are preserved at
https://x.com/POTUS44

Joe Biden's tweets as VP are preserved at
https://x.com/VP44

(yes I know the naming is inconsistent, but that's where they are)

Tweets from Trump's prior term as president, as I said, were usually on his personal account,
but anything on the POTUS account
from his prior term (January 20, 2017-January 20, 2021)
is preserved at
https://x.com/POTUS45

Mike Pence's tweets as VP are preserved at
https://x.com/VP45

I left X-crement the day after the election. I miss it not at all! Bluesky has filled the void nicely - and completely.

I didn't watch a bit of the Felon Follies today. And speaking of Felon, Rolling Stone keeps it real with its headline chronicling today's travesty, at the link:

I said the same thing when the fires first broke out in California.  That was a warning shot from Mother Nature herself, giving us a taste of what's in store for us these next four years.

If Americans feel giddy today, it's because they believe they have "owned the Libs" once and for all.  People who live in the so-called heartland resent anyone who tells them that they're stupid.  That's always been the issue for liberals and progressives: "How do we get the working class and the people who live in 'flyover country' to see things our way without saying that they're stupid?"   Because, the truth is, people who live in this part of the country are extremely stupid people with extremely stupid (and extremely dangerous) points of view.

Glad it isn't just me cutting back on social media.

I am planning to wrap up my time on X soon. I just have to finish going through my follows and find the same people on BlueSky when I find time.

I barely post on IG and I've cut back tremendously on FB over the past year. I can see myself phasing both platforms out by the end of the year.

I will try FanBase as it is ran by a man here in GA. I never got into TikTok (as it was tied to China), so I don't mind testing this out.

Like my time and mental health, I am about to be strategic about where I put my money.

Haven't opened a single news channel or opened a single article. It's not worth the stress at this point. For a second while browsing youtube I saw a glimpse of horrible plastic-surgery ridden crowd led by Musk... cheering. That was enough for me.

Yeah, I will probably go for a walk. Haven't seen much of anything. Helped by my TV system going down.

Not sure how my social media is going to be given how it was already a slippery slope over the last year and I had already begun to cut back on it outside of business and taking on a hermit mode who occasionally socializes. But even that is changing and I'm getting to a point where I just don't have time for giving out energy for people who don't at all deserve it anymore.

Ok... I slipped and saw a gif someone shared of Leprechaunia giving Bozo the clown the cold shoulder when he tried to kiss her. I am laughing so hard. This really... does not deserve anything more than MY LAUGH!

    • The Saturday 8pm slot usually had the lowest rating of the NBC 4 sitcom lineup for some reason. NBC let Saturday night fizzle, They used 9.30 pm to launch 227 and Amen, both of which moved to earlier in the evening but they  kept Empty Nest following GG for several seasons.  Empty Nest should have moved to 8pm with their strongest new sitcom at 9.30, anticipating that GG would eventually falter. Instead they left them there and stretching the sitcom pool too thinly on other nights. When Grand talk over at 9.30 Thurs maybe Night Court and Wings could have been used on Saturday.
    • @Maxim Great to see your mini-reviews again. There are a number of clips on Youtube of Janice's slow mental breakdown. Christine Jones is just superb. She played the hell out of that role. Something which isn't referenced as much later on is how Mitch pushed Janice's doubts and mental instability for his own ends...until suddenly he didn't want to anymore (I guess he caught on with the audience and the show became wary). I don't want to post a bunch of clips, but this one has a very good confrontation between Rachel and Janice.

    • It really made Oscar the Doorman seem like an imbecile.   I think the show's unusual format & subject manner is what makes EON often seem less "dated" and "old-fashioned" than other shows from that time period.  It never attempted to be especially "trendy" or "modern" -- and its film noir style is pretty timeless.
    • Dallas, Dynasty, Knots and Falcon Crest all had good runs but by 85 they had seen better days. I think they were a victim of the format. After several seasons seeing the same characters front and center viewers were bored. What was once fascinating grew predictable. JR, Alexis etc had to be front and center and after a while their schemes and shtick grew repetitive. JR remarrying Sue Ellen, Alexis constantly trying to get he better of Blake etc Unlike daytime, there wasn't the flexibility to bring in other stories and characters and maybe let the likes JR go backburner. That same mentality also invaded daytime with characters like  Sonny and Victor still peddling the same stuff after decades. I guess the same could be said for MSW eg every week Jessica encounters a crime and solves it,but I think viewers come to that format with a different mindset.
    • Daphnee and Trisha did a live stream on Instagram and confirmed they find out if the show gets picked up in May. This pretty much confirms they're on the primetime schedule like the Bell soaps. Fingers crossed we get a multi-year renewal announcement soon!  https://www.instagram.com/reel/DJSsYb7PDv8/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
    • I don't think Lois the character was there.  The Lois we knew from the 90s has pretty much died with this  Gio story crap.
    • Have to agree re MM. The goody two shoes character and writing doesn't help but maybe a more dynamic actor would help Brandon lift his game also. I found the song sequence a little OTT. First of all it should have been shorter and maybe the song fades out and just some music to accompany the montage. I think it would have worked better if Anita had have been alone after everyone left and started tinkling leading into the song, with Vernon coming in observing and then joining her for  a close moment. Everyone standing around felt a little too much. And that closing effect with the two blackscreens meeting was unnecessary. Just a fade out would have been enough.

    • And sadly I think that’s the trivia Both Jeanne Cooper and Eric Braeden went with for years and years. Lol
    • But people were hating so bad on amc and the final year and the ratings sucked. Business wise they made the right call. Oltl who even gained some ratings back and weren’t they higher as GH at one point is a decision and never understood.
