I'm glad they've started asking - Trump staying at Mar-a-Lago most of the week over and over is very strange.

The Wisconsin Harris/Walz event was PACKED.

The Detroit event, now streaming, is ALSO packed.

And I noticed the complete difference in character between the two campaigns, highlighted at Wisconsin. Walz was being his usual awesome self, highlighting policy/accomplishments, etc.

Suddenly, someone in the crowd yelled, "Help!" He immediately stopped, and looked like he sorely wanted to leave the podium and go assist. His eyes never left the spot of the person in jeopardy, and he only went back on message once he was certain the person was okay and had water in the heat.

Contrast this to Trump rally-goers at an event that ended up collapsing in the heat, and Trump didn't give one s-h-i-t, just saying how he wanted their votes.

Decency versus depravity.

NYT does its own BTS dive into how Harris chose Walz. (non-paywalled)

All JDV had to say was, "What makes me happy?  My wife and my kids."  Five words.  Just five [!@#$%^&*] words, and he couldn't say it.  What. A. Douche.

I'm sure the GOP will claim that that episode with the heat-exhausted rallygoer was staged.  To which, *I* say, "Prove to us that Trump's assassination attempt wasn't!"

I think I read somewhere that his campaign team has closed most of their field offices?  A sure sign that Team Trump is broke.  PLUS, I'm not so sure that his staying home isn't related to what are clearly signs of mental/psychological and cognitive decline.

I haven't had much to do these days, so I've been checking out social media more (I know, lol) and I see there's one account on X called "Anonymous" that's predicting that Trump will drop out.  I don't think he will - he's much too narcissistic - but I really wish he would, lol.

I mean, the shooter appears legit (and per investigation was apparently angling to shoot any candidate he could get to first, not just Trump) but damn if the idea that it was rigged wasn't my first or second thought.

I don't know how Trump could be broke already given the massive money Thiel, etc. have been pumping in lately, but if anyone could pull it off it's his team.

First of all, never admit to the press that you're basically an alcoholic.  Second, Vance's statement, challenging Harris to a debate but NOT Walz (and hiding behind pretty flimsy excuses), is a clear signal that either 1) Vance is too scared to debate with Walz and thinks he has a better shot at debating with Harris (which would make no sense to do, since he's not running for president "...or is he?") OR 2) Trump himself is not up to debating anyone, let alone his challenger for the presidency.

Of course, both things could be true as well.

At the risk of sounding like a "Maury" guest who's desperate to prove Trayquon is little Shamayla's father: look at his ear!  Does that look like an ear that was grazed by a bullet or by shrapnel?  I realize some people heal quicker than others, but that quick with no residual scars?  I don't think so.

Kamala shuts down some Palestine protestors at her latest event doing a "we won't vote for genocide" chat. The very online far left will squeal about this, but they're wrong. She did this same thing to Pence four years ago in their debate, and she's right to have zero tolerance for people chanting about genocide in the middle of her rally, especially after she took a harder line than Biden about Netanyahu and Israel like a week ago.

I agree that ear is weird.

I've seen that look and heard that tone so many times from my own mother (a Black woman).  All she needed to do was quote Millie Jackson - "Go! Follow your rainbow!" - and I would've been GONE.
