Members marceline
I'm not up for two years of this madness. I'll vote for whoever the nominee is as long as it isn't Bernie.

Members Roman
this is all our politics are now. constant campaigning. Iowa primaries aren't until next year (2020). why declare now? all they are going to do is cancel each other out.
Members Juliajms
To secure donors and gain name recognition I suppose. I do wish we had a system more like Canada's, but politics were bound to dominate the next two years in any case. It's like the Kardashians or the Royals. If you don't want to hear about it 24/7, you have to make a conscious decision to block it out. Even then you'll hear about it more than you want to.
Members Roman
I have too. Members Juliajms
This was such a sad article. Just the idea the people can't even be stitched up after surgery is awful, never mind that these super bugs could spread. It doesn't help that our own government doesn't care at all and won't be bothered to try to persuade BN's government to let in more meds. At the same time, what is stopping Egypt from letting in more medical aid? Edited January 2, 2019 by Juliajms

Members DRW50
Harry Reid certainly made his mistakes, but he was tough as hell, and the Senate Democrats sorely miss that strength. I'm sorry to hear he's nearly gone. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/02/magazine/harry-reid-senate-cancer-trump.html
Members Juliajms
He's just like Sasse, nothing but talk. Here's some good news. Let's hope other state policy makers follow this model.
Members DramatistDreamer
Senator Sanders just cannot help himself. He's doing himself no favors in his half-hearted attempts at pandering. If you're going to pander, at least don't do it so clumsily, Bernie.
Members marceline
The problem with Sanders and much of the progressive left is that they don't ever change tactics even when they get lousy feedback. Bernie's so clumsy at this because he doesn't listen when people tell him his messaging sucks.
Members DramatistDreamer
And Bernie doesn't listen because he insists he's right in all aspects, especially since his base also encourages him to believe that he is right in all aspects. In that way (as well as other aspects), they're very similar to Trump and his base.
Members marceline
Bernie is every bit as narcissistic as Trump but fortunately he isn't a psychopath.
