He clearly was on some sort of sedative or mood stabilizer giving that speech because he was speaking slower and less screechy. Of course it couldn't stop him from saying anything stupid, but it was enough to keep him from going completely crazy in a venue where the country could least afford it. This isn't the first time he appeared to be heavily medicated, he looked the same giving a speech at G7.

BASEBALL TICKETS?  Who racks a $200,000 debt over BASEBALL TICKETS?  No, there's something else going on there.  No way did that man spend that much money for freaking baseball tickets.  No.  Damn.  Way.

Maybe Jason Miller put something in Trump's drink this morning?  I hear he's good at that kind of stuff. ;)

Not sure they would really be dragging us into it, since at times 45 seems quite eager to make it happen. Why is beyond me.

I think people should be more concerned about Venezuela which people in the so called "non extreme GOP" seem ginned up on like Rubio. That talk about regime change in Venezuela frankly made me more nervous.

It's like these people are too stupid to ever learn a lesson.

I think people are concerned about Venezuela.  Maybe not North Americans but those of us with ties to Latin America and the Caribbean are deeply concerned.

There have been mass migrations to neighboring countries (yes, there are refugees in this part of the Hemisphere) with many of the usual reactions (even with deportations from countries like Trinidad & Tobago, which caused something of an uproar earlier this year).

In terms of Iran, the U.S. could be dragged in by Israel as well, which is far more likely.  Israel and Russia are having small diplomatic skirmishes over Syrian airspace right now and Iran is involved since they have a shadow presence in Syria and are the reason why Israel has taken their position in Syria, in the first place.

I think there are some that are concerned yes myself including but are we really to believe the US invading or organizing a regime change putting our puppets in power is really the answer. I mean it's work so well before.  Our gvmts motives have zero to do with helping the people and more to do with the Oil interests.

No one who cares about Latin America and the Caribbean wants anything to do with a U.S. military intervention or backchannel interference. People still have memories of Grenada and Panama, which were unmitigated disasters (tbh, no one except a small group of elites wanted the U.S. back then either).

I'm just saying that, in terms of interest, I don't see the same type of hue and cry for even the smallest of diplomatic measures to be taken, the way I've noticed with Syria.  Then again, Yemen is being completely ignored and people are starving to death there, so I guess there's really no predicting what will capture the interest of countries like the U.S.

"Sex Wars" -- wasn't that the name of some late-night game show in the early '00's?

I've seen a few more stories about Yemen in the last couple of weeks at least.  Seems like we are in it just to sell weapons 2 billion dollars worth of weapons.  If there is a more disgusting reason to help starve children I can't think of it at the moment.
