If I were in that woman's shoes, and I had learned I was pregnant by that asshat Jason Miller, I'd be BEGGING for someone to hand me an "abortion pill," pronto.

RE: CBF -- her decision could not have been an easy one.  I'm just praying she has a strong enough support team in her friends and loved ones to help her face whatever's coming next week.

It's going to get worse. When those iPhone components start absorbing the sticker shock, the portion of the consumer market that had been spared up until now, will begin to really feel a sharp pinch.

Previously, the suffering had been limited to certain groups (anyone in the market for a product made with steel, e.g. washer/dryer or refrigerator) cellphones and their accessories were exempt before.

That's the thing with these out of touch, sneering types - they didn't even listen to the words out of his own mouth. His own words! He made it clear and has made it clear for decades how he feels about trade. He didn't hide it. He didn't hold back. This is what he wants and has wanted for a very long time. They thought someone would be there to hold his hand and everything would be alright. And now we have to suffer the consequences, while they cry into their large wads of cash.

CNN has a history of this (as does MSNBC), don't they?

Just another reminder that Anderson Cooper tends to lean to the right, for all his phony posturing.

Jeff Zucker cheered Trump running for President. You don't do that unless you share a kinship with him.

For this reason, I roll my eyes whenever some people talk about 'liberal Hollywood'.  Many (certainly not all) actors tend to be liberal, quite a lot of writers are liberal but the majority of studio executives and bosses are NOT liberal.

Many studio bosses/executives are as right-leaning as one can get, short of being right-wing.  This is a history that goes all the way back to the early days of the old Hollywood studio system and Louis B. Mayer, who was a staunch conservative and at one time, a chairman of the California wing of the Republican party.

Anyone who believes that Hollywood is some bastion of liberalism obviously knows absolutely nothing about how the entertainment industry really works. The dudes (and they are almost all white men) in charge are far from liberal.

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!

    • Bill and Hayley’s living room set should be redressed as their bedroom. We’ve not seen their gorgeous circular entry way set since the first week? Why not utilise that more and build them a living room off those double doors? The hotel room also doesn’t have a bed? Does only Dani have a bedroom?
    • as posted upthread, this interview was on that channel's youtube   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YLraEMlqtTw

    • @Paul Raven thank you for the synopsis! I enjoy reading these before dozing off for the night. That aside, this Charles character sounds like a horror, just reading about him. I can only imagine how he was watching in real time. But it is intriguing to, as I wish there were more clips of LOL out there besides the one episode from this era that I've seen, which is the one of Cal getting in the car wreck.
    • Dear God in Heaven (/KatherineChancellor), maybe blazer is the wrong word - I’m just saying André needs to wear baggy clothes or larger sizes cause he’s a short king and the sizes they’ve chosen for him make him look smaller and shorter than necessary
