I see the Washington Post isn't going to let the New York Times outdo them when it comes to normalizing conservatives.

Resentment toward NATO was a big thing with Republicans even before Trump. Another case of the GOP being given a handwave.

I won't be surprised if he does pull us out. It's getting difficult to react...

I just read an article about an amazing 14 year old child from Myanmar who was instrumental in the rescue of Thai boys and their coach.  Adul Sam-on is stateless, has no citizenship papers and was brought over the border from Myanmar to Thailand by his parents who wanted him to have a decent education.

Adul who is one of the most academically gifted students in his school, speaks 5 languages, one of them being English, which he used to translate between his fellow team members, Thai rescuers and British divers.

The U.S. now throws people like Adul away or bars them from entry.

So called Christians and evangelicals want to cite the parable about the stone that the builders refused becoming the cornerstone?  Well this exemplifies this parable that people love to cite so much even as many of these same people rail against migrants and refugees.

Well, Adul is both and he was instrumental in helping the rescue effort going as well as it did.

I just hope he manages to have a chance in Thailand, let alone anywhere else. The world as a whole is becoming colder and harder on this front.

I'd say it's less about Trump and more about how craven Republicans are in the last decade. They also fully supported Steve Scalise after it was revealed he spoke in front of a white supremacist group. This was in 2015/late 2014.

People in the media who try to make this depravity all about Trump are setting us all up in the long run.

The fact that the Republicans still refer to the Hastert Rule shows how little they care about sexual abuse.

Well, this looks...unusual.

Cue Trump (or whoever) firing Rosenstein in five, four, three, two....

There already have been Trumpists and magabots screaming for Rosenstein's head since yesterday over this.

Obviously Rosenstein wants to ensure that there is a chain of accountability, so it's not just his word against Trump's lies, which plenty of people are more than willing to believe.

This didn't go the way the House GOP hoped:

He was impressive and came across like the educated, factual one in that chamber.  I saw some clips on a few news feeds I follow, and I was literally cheering him on.
