Because the last round didn't bankrupt the country enough, Trump wants another round of tax cuts - and another reduction of the corporate tax rate from 21% to 20%. Let's add another trillion in debt. Why not?!

This is why elections have consequences and Dems staying home in 2014 got this rolling since, by staying home, the GOP got more seats. There is no way to stop this. The Dems are the minority and there is no filibuster.

 

The ONLY thing that may be possible is, if Dems do ever get a majority, they CAN increase court size. It was expanded and reduced many times over the centuries/decades.

This is ridiculous.  In normal times all of this regressive tax stuff would piss me off, but with what's happening on the border it's just a blip.  Still, it's financially reckless and we will pay for it down the road.

I am glad we are getting the nominee in a week as it's obvious that he is probably going to pick Kavanaugh, or another far right activist white guy. Throwing in a few women and minorities feels more like lip service than ever with someone like Trump. 

 

I saw that Ben Shapiro was freaking out about Kavanaugh not being the right kind of conservative until various people of his ilk stepped in to reassure him. I have a feeling this guy is going to just be there for corporations and won't even bother to hide it - he will be so bought and paid for (even more than Gorsuch) we will see a cash register pinned to his robe.

There is no question about it.  45 doesn't even bother keeping up the pretense of sharing power. 

 

I guess we'll be cleaning up the environmental messes from these corporations run amok for decades to come. Of course, some damage can never be undone.
