Just when I think that I can't despise Trump anymore than I already do, he somehow manages to prove me wrong.

I dreaded what he would do when he was elected, but never in my wildest dreams could I imagine the complete shitshow he's running. Every day seems to bring another disastrous decision from him. I'm actually starting to fear that the world won't survive his second term in office.

That's where I am at. I actually asked my husband if he thinks we are going to be send to war... if this leads to WW3 (I've never had any military service - don't know if this is how it's said in English... but I mean the preparation to be in an army - it was not requirement in my home country when I was at that age)... and he said that we won't be... but... who knows. I really don't want to die in a war.

Oh gosh. I think it's normal and healthy to be distressed!  They want us to cower in fear, and I don't want to give into that, but I certainly wouldn't judge anyone for being terrified.  I mean, if you're not terrified, you're not paying attention.  So yeah, it's *sane* to be afraid, and yet I don't want them to destroy me with fear.  Both can be true at the same time.  It's all insane.

This cartoon is from the time of the *prior* Trump administration.

Today, Trump insanely accused Zelenskyy of instigating WW3 if Zelenskyy didn't comply with Putin.

Honestly, I fear now, not just for Ukraine, but for Zelenskyy's own safety as well.  The man could very well become a martyr for his people at the hands of Putin.

Europe seeks to take control of Ukraine negotiations, after Zelensky’s nightmare Trump visit sparks panic

P.S Congrats, orange man - you've isolated yourself and your country from the world and turned yourself into Putin 2. Good luck, bitch!

March 2, 2025 European summit on Ukraine, held in London.

Earlier in the day, UK Prime Minister Starmer had spoken to the leaders of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, who would not be attending this summit in person.  (President Alar Karis of Estonia, Prime Minister Evika Siliņa of Latvia, and President Gitanas Nausėda of Lithuania).
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/pm-call-with-leaders-of-estonia-latvia-and-lithuania-2-march-2025
(Apparently the summit was arranged hastily and somehow the three Baltic leaders were not included, so Starmer called to apologize?)
Per Lithuanian radio, Starmer offered the three leaders an apology for their exclusion from the meeting.
Starmer reiterated that Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania have roles in supporting Ukraine and all parties "agreed that Europe must unite" to get "the best outcome" from any peace deal, which would be "vital for Europe's future security".

I had a productive conversation with our Baltic friends –
President of Lithuania @GitanasNauseda,
President of Latvia @edgarsrinkevics,
and Prime Minister of Estonia @KristenMichalPM.

I informed them about yesterday’s summit in London. Together, we must prepare a plan of actions that will bring us closer to real security guarantees. There are concrete initiatives, and we will work on them.

For us, unity with all partners is crucial to end the war as soon as possible and ensure a reliable and lasting peace. Ukraine, Europe, the United States – only together can we restore security for all our people, and this is really possible.

I am grateful for the support and the decision on new defense packages that will help save the lives of our people.

    • Same here.  Anyone who voluntarily left Margo's penthouse set (except to go overseas or to Heaven) was immediately on my blacklist.  lol.

    • The penthouse was my favorite set... and it changed hands from Margo to Draper/April to Miles/Nicole then to just Miles... before he opted to give that beautiful place for that drab house with the even more drab Beth.  That was a jump the shark moment for me LOL
    • The storyline April and Draper are involved in during the summer/autumn of 1979 seems fairly "benign" but soon turns very serious.  April has a VERY intrusive, wealthy mother (Margo Huntington Dorn).  Margo knows that April and Draper (who've recently had a miscarriage and are theoretically never going to be able to conceive another baby) want to buy a house.  Margo hoodwinks them into buying a house they can't afford.  The house is listed at $100,000 (about $400,000 in today's dollars).  Margo pays the first $35,000 and leads Draper to believe the asking price of the house is $65,000 instead of $100,000.  If Draper finds out his meddling mother-in-law paid 1/3 of the cost of the home and tricked him, he'll be mad as hell.   Meanwhile, Draper has received a job offer from a prestigious New York law firm.  Margo pulls some strings and has the senior partner in the firm rescind the offer, to keep April in Monticello.  If Draper finds out about THAT, he'll be even angrier with Margo than he will be about the house trickery.  All of that is "bubbling under the surface" in the fall of 1979 but will be the next major story, as everything begins to spiral out of control.   Yep, you've got the Karrs and their very basic middle-class house, the Victorian-themed place where Miles and Nicole live, April and Draper's old craftsman house with the exposed beams, the Madisons & their Mission revival house, and Margo with her 1970s-chic penthouse.  Each of the sets is completely different.  And their budget was like zero, lol.
    • It felt weird and out of place.  I get it. While I agree with those on here that say he's gotten better, it's still really bad. I'm not seeing the "good" acting some see...but I'll give him a B for being better than when he first started. There's potential. I'll leave it at that.
