(Netanyahu still denying it's true) Biden's team has been in Qatar working on this. Trump is boasting about this . . . because why? Because he's Trump. The newsfeed keeps updating every few minutes on this, I can't keep up. Times of Israel says that a ceasefire and hostage deal has been reached and reports that the US, Qatar and Egypt will shortly issue a joint statement. Three US officials and a Hamas official have confirmed to Associated Press that a ceasefire deal has been reached. One US official said that it was expected that the ceasefire would be implemented in the coming days. From TheGuardian: The US president, Joe Biden, is preparing to address the breakthrough agreement on Thursday, officials said. There are already people celebrating in the streets in both Gaza and Tel Aviv. The Israeli government will vote on a Gaza ceasefire deal on Thursday, a government official told Reuters. Any agreement still needs to be approved by Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet, but would be expected to go into effect in the coming days. (fyi: This is all updating very fast.
