I guess Silver's just another one (like Mark Zuckerberg) who isn't afraid anymore to let everyone know where he stands.

Yup.

From the article:

Ambassadors from the 27 remaining E.U. members agreed Monday to postpone the departure date until the end of January, although Britain could still leave earlier if Parliament ratifies the separation deal ahead of time.

And now, Boris Johnson appears poised for a general election -- possibly by early December.

Trump was probably so sure that the raid on al-Baghdadi would result in people throwing roses at his feet, so he felt it was 'safe' to go out among the unpaid/non-MAGA vetted folk, who would no doubt sing his praises. But people weren't falling for it.

Trump and his cronies are so slap-dash in everything they do that people quickly realized that Trump's 'war room'  photos (his attempt at creating an Obama moment) were staged and couldn't have been taken at the actual time the raid was taking place.

Also, people didn't appreciate Trump's hollow attempts to praise the intelligence community, who did all the heavy lifting, the same intelligence community that he had been belittling and mocking for the past two years. And as Trump lavished praise on himself for the raid (meanwhile al-Baghdadi has likely already been replaced in the terrorist organization), people were unearthing an old tweet of his where he mocked Obama for giving that statement where he described the raid and killing of bin Laden. This, and Trump's hastily put together forum where he tried (unsuccessfully) to tout his justice initiatives to a select group of black people (while the rest were ordered to stay in their rooms and not come out on their own campus), did nothing to bolster his image to the myriad of people who want him out of office.

I guess he is shocked to find out that life is vastly different when he's among the people who are not paid actors, MAGA fanatics and cabinet cronies.

Speaking of what happened at Benedict College this weekend, this video gives a bit of a summary and crystallizes what happened as a result. Gillum was very diplomatic in his gentle rebuke of Van Jones, who got off easy.

I've lost count of how many times these gerrymandered maps are thrown out and then the ruling is reversed.

Kamala Harris had the right idea about the forum. I get the feeling Cory Booker thought he would send some kind of "teachable moment" message and get the moral high ground vote, but there is no teachable moment. Groups that give Trump any support should not be enabled.

True, but as the current Supreme Court's decision basically threw such decisions back to the states, this appears final. At least, all the write ups on this seem to state that. So, at least here, that punt may finally lead to some fair elections in NC, assuming the Republican Party won't cheat again as it did last year. (And got caught. But I can see them doing it again with this decision since the GOP hates voting rights and a fair democratic process.)
