They don't care enough about anyone who isn't them to change their political ideology. Hell, his female voters don't even care about the people who are them. I don't deny that at all.  It's absolutely surreal how many white supremacist got close to the ultimate seat of power with this election.

The reason I think it makes a difference is that it leaves more hope for the future.  If we truly had 40 million rabid racist/sexists on our hands we would be well and truly f*cked for the foreseeable future.

The worst part about all these US Attorneys being pushed out is there is likely no one to replace them. Many jobs haven't been filled and I'm not sure they will be filled anytime soon. They aren't even going because of ideology as much as because Trump is looking for people to blame for leaks, and Faux News along with other interlopers didn't take much effort to convince him their target was to blame. Once all Obama's people are gone, someone else will get the blame, then someone else, then someone else.

That's what should frighten the Republicans who use him for their agenda, because at some point, sooner rather than later, they will be the ones in his crosshairs.

Bharara had also been overseeing an investigation of possible financial impropriety by Fox News Channel in regards to whether the company properly informed shareholders of the settlements with female employees over Roger Ailes' sexual harrassment activity.

Interesting that, on the list to replace Bharara is Ailes' attorney.

Also, it was well-known that a watchdog group had contacted Bharara to conduct an investigation into Trump's (possible) business conflicts.

According this article in the NYT U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara Says He Was Fired After Refusing to Quit

" Phil Singer, a former aide to Mr. Schumer and a Democratic strategist, called it “absurd” to suggest that Mr. Bharara’s firing had been meant to punish Mr. Schumer. He noted that any investigation involving Trump Tower would fall within the purview of Mr. Bharara’s office."

He's already threatening them with fundraising money he plans to use for mid-term retributions. He managed to soften some of them up with a trip in the WH bowling alley. Unless he can win over Tom Cotton those bowling pins will have been a waste.

Trumpmaniacs will be coming for John McCain again since he reiterated what thinking people already know concerning the wiretapping claim--Trump can ask the FBI if he really wanted to know and he asked for the evidence that Trumpty Dumpty has.

The press is so easy letting that smarmy Spicer wiggle around and turn Trump's flip flopping lunacy into a joke.

You haven't heard how that incompetent Obama is running the "deep state" undermining and potential overthrow of Trump.  Some of the Republicans seem to know just about as much about running the government as Paul Ryan knows about how insurance works.

^ Meanwhile we've been keeping our society going "with other people's babies" this whole time. American born women do not want to have enough babies to keep the population growing. That goes even for families that are second and third generation immigrants. He calls himself a Republican, but he's still too stupid to realize you can't have a capitalist society with negative population growth. That's obviously it's own problem when it comes to the environment and climate change, but both Japan and parts of Europe are examples of what happens to your economy when you don't have enough babies. Not to sound cold hearted, but children are a precious commodity and we should be scooping up those Central American and Syrian kids with both hands.

One of Trump’s Department of Labor Appointees Apparently Graduated From High School in 2015

And

Any American conservatives looking to Brexit as some shining example, should realize that Nicola Sturgeon is requesting a new referendum for Scotland and whether it Remains with the U.K.  As soon as  the Leave votes came tumbling in, I predicted Scotland would be seriously rethinking whether to remain in Great Britain.

We'll see...

Steve King was just embarrassed by Chris Cuomo on New Day in a interview you all should take a few minutes to see...and right now Kellyanne Conway is lying her tail off right now on the very same show....meanwhile on Morning Joe.....

I'm glad I don't have cable anymore because now I have no need to be exposed to all this silliness. CNN wants to play take down games with what's essentially low hanging fruit and then expect the audience to be impressed because they "showed them." Meanwhile they keep giving serial liars air time to spread more conspiracy theories. They should just re-brand themselves as TrumpTalk.

All I want from the news is to hear the news without all the opinions, games, and faux outrage. I don't need the media personnel pretending to be the moral compass when some of them are probably cut from the same philosophical cloth.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
    • Agreed. The Emmys next year are gonna be a pretty tough competition and I hope we get a Days sweep lol  Not only does Deidre deserve a nomination for these last few weeks, but I also think Paul Telfer, Raven Bowens, Carson Boatman, Dan Feuerriegel and Alison Sweeney have good chances as well.
    • It’s not about a lack of faith and trust in MVJ, it’s about a a lack of faith and trust in Ron Carlivati, who I think can be very sneaky and manipulative when he wants to be.  And, all that “He’s just a breakdown writer” talk never changed my mind about anything, because at Days, it was “just a breakdown writer” that gave us some of the worst episodes I’ve ever seen.
