Since Nielsen's September change to the Live+Same Day Big Data + Panel model, I've observed a sharp decline for the soaps (scripted) in the key demos, with The View, GMA3, NBC News Daily, Let's Make a Deal, and The Price is Right being core shows benefiting, particularly among Total Viewers. I believe this is due to the live nature of those programs: older viewers watch them live, whereas scripted programs can be watched on the go or at a more convenient time.
I hope that in 2026 we can resume receiving additional rating categories, including streaming.
