August 20, 200817 yr Member Wow, wow, wow... How much the rhetoric of some people changed... Wow, wow, wow... And P. S. Y&RWorld - you were forcing Nelson's cr*ppy column on us! :P I still believe Josh is out.

Y&RWorld - you were forcing Nelson's cr*ppy column on us! :P I still believe Josh is out. Of COURSE Josh is out. They just don't want to announce it until they have a replacement, for fear of seeming "unprofessional". I just wish they realized we're all clued in to their "unprofessionalisn" eons ago. No need to try and hide it at this point.
August 20, 200817 yr Member Well, if they're taking their time to find his replacement, it better be damn good. I'd hate for them to take forever, and then hire John Valente or someone else as bad.

Careful, A... You never know. You might WISH for someone like Valente. (ANd no, I don't know anything. Just pointing out it can always be worse. )
August 20, 200817 yr Member Of COURSE Josh is out. Don't shout. I've (notice I, not others) had it with your capitals and mean posts. Edited August 20, 200817 yr by Sylph

I know sometimes things in prints don't come across the way we originally intended it. So I really want to apologize to everyone reading if I've overstepped my bounds recently. That's not cool and I'm truly regretful if I've rubbed anyone the wrong way. Edited August 20, 200817 yr by brimike

I personally haven't ever taken offense to anything you've posted. I want you to be my baby daddy, LoL. On the internet, using CAPITAL letters is considered "shouting." That's why I use italics alot when I want to stress a word rather than using caps lock.

I knew about the capital letters/shouting thing, but unfortunately, I grew up in the years pre-Internet, so sometimes I just type all caps to emphasize without realizing the rules have changed. I'll try and keep and eye out for that in the future.

I sometimes use CAPS as emphasis and I don't consider it shouting. ie: "What the HELL was that?" to "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" <---- obviously that one is shouting. Oh, Sylph, the epitome of sweetness in SON posting. LMAO!
August 20, 200817 yr Member OK, now our dear friends over at Daytime Confidential are reporting this. http://daytimeconfidential.com/2008/08/did...-fire-me-i-quit Did Josh Griffith say to Y&R: "You Can't Fire Me I Quit"??Submitted by Jamey Giddens on August 20, 2008 - 4:49pm. While Soap Opera Digest Online is reporting that Josh Griffith wasn't fired from The Young and the Restless, inside sources are saying the executive is still indeed on his way out. "Josh quit," says a source. "He decided not to renew his contract." Griffith, who was allegedly re-writing Maria Arena Bell's scripts, reportedly stopped after being warned by the CBS sudser, however the damage to his working relationship with Bell was already done. "It was too little, too late," says the source. Keep checking back to Daytime Confidential as the story evolves.
August 20, 200817 yr Member Hmmmm... interesting news....... whatever happens next, I'll be happy just as long as he's really out. And hopefully a replacement will be reported soon.
August 20, 200817 yr Member Ugh, seriously, all this makes me think of is the Tao quote "Those who know, do not speak. Those who speak, do not know." There's become such a rush to be the "one site" that breaks news, its all become a big game of telephone with "inside sources" that usually don't know the whole story, or even a quarter of it.
August 20, 200817 yr Member Hmmmm... interesting news....... whatever happens next, I'll be happy just as long as he's really out. And hopefully a replacement will be reported soon. Yeah, all we can do is hope for a positive replacement. I mean, I guess whoever replaces him could be just as bad, but I'm still glad he's gone.

Brimike, to me you come across as positively sweet. Sometimes you do a teasing thing...but I think teasing is good when it is not mean spirited. I think Sylph is a daily joy for me here, who delights in being contrarian and strongly opinioned. I like that you spar with him, but I never personally read it as mean. I want to fess up to frequently using ALL CAPS myself. Some of that comes from usenet, where the 'emphasis' options are limited. Some of it comes from laziness: I can just hit the caps lock, as opposed to highlighting and then doing something (ctrl-I, or the i button, or hard coding the i). I'd like to hope that we are a tolerant enough bunch here to tolerate a range of post-emphasis styles?
