When Anna Lee (Lila Quartermaine of GH) died and her funeral episodes were created flashbacks featuring all the Edwards were used and it was a very smart move on JFP's behalf. Those episodes were beautiful and only so because they featured Anna's full run on GH. I believe 3 different Edwards were featured.

Back to topic: why recast Traci? Beth Maitland is a fine actress who looks the part. She IS Traci. Any lack of Traci Abbott is down to the writers not wanting to write for her.

That's not the ONLY reason and I will not go into specifics as to why I don't care for Tammin's portrayal of Colleen. BTW, Colleen (the character that TS is portraying) IS American NOT Australian! Enough said.

I would love for Y&R to do some flashbacks with Lyndsy Fonseca and Adrianne Leon as Colleen especially if Tammin were to get a storyline that she could 'sink her teeth into'! I would love to see the comparison! :o

Oh, I think Traci should definitely come back! Now that John is gone, she could be the heart and soul of the Abbott family. She is so kind and good. And Beth Maitland is great at playing her. I do think the role could be recast, but I don't see why. I think Beth would come back if they asked her.

BUT if for some reason there really HAD TO BE a recast, someone here suggested Judi Evans. I think she could totally pull it off.. but I do think Judi could be a little too young for the role...

I meant hypothetically, if BM couldn't or didn't want to return.

I have my suspicions that

Daniel Goddard plays an Australian character, but his voice is a mixture of Australian, American and mumbling.

Tonya Lee Williams plays an American character but has a Canadian accent.

Eric Braeden's German accent has never been explained on-screen.

If Tammin were to get such a storyline, she would trump both of her predecessors. Her character on Home and Away was raped, stalked, wrongfully jailed and held hostage, and Tammin pulled it off seamlessly (and there are several posters here who have seen her work on H&A and will concur).

All those char's also didnt wake up one day and sound like theyg rew up in another place. and none of them are anywhere near as bad. and, isnt Victor German?

I do agree that she was steller on H&A. she is actually what got me addicted to it. However, she just does not work in the role of colleen carlton. plain and simple. various great actors have been in roels where it just didnt work. talent isnt all that matters, esp on a soap opera.

    • Shari Anderson was also head writer for a few months before the strike began.
    • I would agree.  Does anyone ever notice in Jan 1988/even Dec 1987, the show started to refer to characters from the past and mainly the Frame family?   It sounded like Lemay talk.  Jason Frame mentioned his sister Sharlene in early 88 but the ending credits still listed MD has head writer and I think Lemay was about to take over at that point.  The show hired Lemay back I believe to prepare for the 25th anniversary and try to recapture the audience that was lost by bringing the past back up.  Then the writers strike happened and all of a sudden the writing changed except when Sharlene Frame came back and we heard more family chatter again.  Maybe at this time they knew the strike was coming near to an end the producer forced the scab writing team to introduce Sharlene. I suspect even though Lemay was not writing at the time, the intent was he is coming back and the show consulted with him on his future storylines.
    • -- My Laugh of the Day goes to Carly calling the Metro Court a "five-star hotel." -- It's crazy, but what Drew did to Wiley makes Drew come off worse than if he actually murdered someone. -- Cynthia Wattros really needs to lay off the Botox. Because her face doesn't move, she's doing WAY too much with her eyes. -- Josh Kelly is looking so good with the new haircut. -- Rory Gibson continues to impress as nuMichael. Just another reminder that Josh Griffith doesn't know how to write for talent. -- This Lucky goodbye is sad -- in all the wrong ways. It could not be more pathetic. There's no doubt in my mind that Valentini told the writers they had 3 days to write him out and to make it ugly. No one will miss JJ.

      We all have our picks
    • Teach me to post cocky about all these rampant relations! As for the cut, it just made Leo Howard look more stunningly handsome. There are guys I think are hotter, but he's got the prettiest face hands down.
    • Yes Arianna and Sami are blood related through Sami and Theresa. They are also adoptive/honorary related because Arianna's third.parent is Sonny, which makes Arianna and Tate related through Justin and Isabella.
    • I saw more about Biden Old or the staged feud between Elon and Trump or just the usual distractions, but I will admit I don't stomach most of the news anyway.
    • Figured it was something like that. It's just feels weird that Will came back to see John but he's not gonna be at his funeral but

They are blood related. Through Sami and Theresa. I didn't notice it last week, but it looked so fresh today. Like he got cut minutes before they started filming or something lol
    • Bill convinced the Governor to pardon Luna. Steffy was too busy badmouthing Hope & Brooke for most of the Spring to concern herself with such trivial matters.
