July 24, 200817 yr Member Ana singing in the episode? Really? (tries to feign shock) Seriously, she wore out her cute factor in her first episode. She's annoying and the actress is a horrible younger actress. They should've just brought on the Tyra character without a kid. Edited July 24, 200817 yr by Y&RWorldTurner
July 24, 200817 yr Author Member ^^^I don't think the actress is bad, I just don't like the singing. I could even stand her singing once a month or once in every two months, but singing in almost EVERY episode is just too much.
July 24, 200817 yr Member Oh wow, they even have a back up choir, it's pretty good actually. Bryton is really good.
July 24, 200817 yr Member MTS, what are your general thoughts about Friday's US episode? Did it live up to all the hype? Did you get a sense of predictability and too much hype for nothing as I did when I read the episode's breakdown? ETA: A Minute too late! Toups, tell us what you thought then. July 24, 200817 yr Administrator I liked it. I think the aftermath will be good. Yeah, I liked the previews. Monday's US episode looks good.
July 24, 200817 yr Member Just read the breakdown transcript. Thanks Alvin. It's looks like I will be watching like 5 min of it....the last 5 minutes. All of this big promotion for such a predictable ending. (rolls eyes) ATWT and OLTL did the same thing a week ago and two weeks ago. What a waste..damn.

Did you get a sense of predictability and too much hype for nothing as I did when I read the episode's breakdown? ETA: A Minute too late! Toups, tell us what you thought then. It flowed pretty well. Some nice exchanges between characters. The ending could have been directed better. Hell, at the end of the day, even if something did blow up we all would probably still b.itch lol. It was almost on par with the 2003 gala for its simplicity, but the overall structure and production values were nowhere near the mark. To be honest, what was really missing was some over-the-top baffoon, cue Gloria. I'm shocked she wasn't there actually. At these events, Y&R needs characters like Drucilla and Gloria to keep things live. Oh and the singing was better. MUCH better than Michael Damien, for what it's worth But really they did a good job.
July 24, 200817 yr Member From the spoilers I've read about the aftermath, IT SOUDNS WAY BETTER THAN THIS. MTS, you're going to love it, it's very MTS heavy and the storyline sounds like Emmy worthy stuff. And the real Jill is back and anyone who comes in her way is going to get burned... The aftermath seems to be impacting the inner core of Y&R, not unessential supporting players. I think some of my hope is coming back.
July 24, 200817 yr Author Member Mine never left, I was just shocked at the amount of pessimistic thought you said today, Y&RWorldTurner... I guess you had a bad day. There's always hope... I guess.

No, I think today's HORRIBLE US show got me down and then my hatred towards the breakdown I read for Friday's show really got things rolling. Lisa Seidman, a few of the other breakdown writers, and Josh Griffith still need to be fired. They're doing nothing for the show...
