Yes, I can see the resemblance. I don't think Kim is supposed to be a good singer, but I'm still not sure exactly what they were going for in that scene.

It was so random and weird.  She was acting like she had been in a relationship with Luke and had lost him to Missy.

At least she didn't sing "Your Cheatin' Heart". 😉😂

Here's an interesting bit of trivia. Elmon Webb was the show's art director. His marriage provided the show with the name of one of its families, and the full name of its matriarch.

We are now at the beginning of the Carolee kidnap story.

Only a few years ago Carolee was stuck in the sanitarium as a jealous Ann went after Steve.

Now a jealous Doreen arranges for Carolee to be stashed away.

Why this story was done is a mystery.

To have Carolee victimized again is ridiculous, particularly when Jada Rowland presented such a strong sensible character.

The word on the street was that this Doreen story would involve Jason and Nola. However, Glenn Corbett quit the show suddenly and Carolee and Steve were inserted into this plot instead. It might have been better to drop the story altogether after GC left. 

However, at least TD didn't make this plot or victimization of Carolee anything other than it was, unlike a story that aired later the same year on rival soap GH - the rape of Laura. At least Carolee didn't leave Steve to marry Doreen's evil henchman Mel.

I think another press release is upcoming.  Someone from Retro has been trying to join this board but can't get approval.  She's posted elsewhere.

Fantastic news that they'll be streaming the series.

Apparently, the b&w episodes from the 60s (that Retro hasn't aired) will be available on the streaming, as well as new interviews with the cast and crew.  I know the Retro representative was trying to get contact information for Liz Hubbard.

Why won't the forum allow the RetroTV rep to join?  I read the rationale for no new members, and it seems like the forum chief is a bit too paranoid about spamming.  Clearly the RetroTV rep is not going to spam the board.   

 

But he's the owner, and I guess he can handle things any way he wants to.

She’s on Daytime Royalty in The Doctors thread and answering questions.

She's also in at least one Facebook soap opera group.
