Moira makes up her own mind - I doubt Charity swayed her. I think that scene was mostly about completing the circle for viewers - Charity moving on and acknowledging Moira's love for Cain.

Moira gave Charity total credit on Friday night’s episode! That’s what the show wanted us to think-that Charity sealed the deal for Moira and Cain.

I’m just finding this latest twist so incomprehensible and out of character for Moira that I almost believe that one of the big storylines for Emmerdale in 2018 is a Faux Moira storyline. At moments I wondered if this is not actually Moira but an imposter.

I think they mostly had her say that to set up Charity being angry and going out for revenge yet again when Cain snubbed her. Moira had already come close to taking him back multiple times.

She did still say it, though. And I think we were meant to believe it. I would buy it if she wasn’t so resolute about Cain over the past few months. Everything she was telling Faith and others was the truth-they could never work long term as a couple. She will always have a firm grip on what’s right and acceptable behavior and he won’t.

Somebody sent me Emmerdale 3/30/00 today - Butch's funeral and the debut of Cain and Charity.

^^

A joyous occasion, the death of a Dingle, turns into a nightmare with the introduction of two more members of that wretched family!   <_<

And even worse, it would eventually lead to the introduction of the worst character this show has ever had....

It was three, so even worse :P

I do enjoy the episode (especially the portions with Emily, one of my favorite Emmerdale characters), but I can see why many would not.

Peter Amory was so underrated as Chris. I can see why the show is trying to bring that type of personality back, even if it isn't quite the same with Joseph.

You're right! I forgot about Shadrach (or at least I really tried to...  ^_^)

Chris was such a complex, fascinating character. There's no way that they will be able to make Joseph anywhere near his father. The writing is so much more shallow now, like the characters.

The Tates were such exceptional characters, all of them, that it's no wonder that no-one has been able to live up to their legacy at Home Farm. Which is why it's so sad that someone like Kim is mostly remembered as the super-bitch of Emmerdale. She was much more than that, and it's a shame that all the other aspects of her is overlooked.

I guess it was Charley Webb’s instinct for Debbie to punch Simon in the chest in that scene in the truck on last night’s episode but it was ludicrous that he didn’t respond by slamming her head against the window. God knows she deserved it.

While I don't normally condone violence, that would have been delicious....  ^_^

They better not drop the ball with this story either. I need for Joesph and Ross to team up together eventually and reign hell on Debbie. She better not get off either.

What a lovely thought!   :wub::P

I just read that

Sandy, Ashley's father

is leaving.

I really must keep up better with coming's and goings.

To bad that it also appears that

Aaron and Robert get back together

<_<

I'm already feeling as if Emmerdale is not giving this Ross storyline the justice it deserves, with the repetitive scenes of Ross being visited by the police.

I admit I found Freddie Jones’ hamminess was hard to take at times but he was affecting in last night’s episode. I’m assuming Sandy and the character played by Wendy Craig will go off into the sunset together so that would be nice. I’d hate it if they killed him off onscreen.
