Sorry, I meant Beth. I think maybe the actress' name was Sinead.

He may have, although it seemed like most of the DS brigade hated him because they said he was a terrible actor.

I don't know if it's ignored, per se, as much as it's that Charity and Cain have never been presented as soulmates against all odds anyway. Most of their interaction is self-destructive and toxic. The only good thing they ever really had was Debbie, and they never knew her until she was 13.

Sometimes Kirin looks so handsome, especially in certain profile shots. Even with that bowling shirt he had on again today. Shame about some of the acting...

I can see both sides with Leyla and Alicia. They both have hot tempers and a bad history together, and it got out of control. There are only a few things that bother me: 1) that we're supposed to believe Jacob would believe there are killer jellyfish - he's like 13 years old and he seems mature enough to me 2 ) the idiot fans who just dismiss Leyla as selfish and ungrateful and as a slut and don't try to see her side (this show has some horrible, sexist fans who want everyone to be as boring as possible) and 3) my ever-increasing fear that all of this is being done to set up her death (she's back with increasingly "evil" Jai, she's isolated, and Alicia is leaving on bad terms - it would be soapish if Leyla died while Alicia was gone, and Alicia only returned for her funeral and to set up her ultimate exit from the village). On paper it might make sense to kill Leyla, since she isn't a longtime character and her main tie to the village is going soon, but Roxy Shahidh is such a unique actress who adds a lot of humor and heart and edge to the show. There aren't any other characters like Leyla on soaps. She's a big reason why I stay interested in the show. Without her, Robert, and several others, I'd likely just walk away again.

YEEESSSS to those test results!

The actor who plays Kirin will be my second husband...its official. Adam may be hot but he's just too stupid.

You're scaring me re Leyla. I love the character more and more. She's such a cool girl. The type I'd hang out with in real life in a hot second. I really hope they spare her.

Rakesh is cute for an older guy but so FOUL for what he did....

At first I thought that said Troy Beyer and thought, "Dominique would have something to say about this."

I haven't watched tonight's yet but I have to laugh at how they use Robert to move these plots along - they'd be so foolish if they get rid of him.

I hope this won't ruin Rakesh.

    • Okay I can buy that when Brook Lynn was a teen.  Now she knows the child is a boy one would think she'd be slightly suspicious.  Then again, Gio looks nothing like either of them so maybe not lol.
    • I've been behind & just got caught up & the last 3 days were amazing!
    • Yeah.  The hot, poor bad boy with a chip on his shoulder but with a heart of gold was a common soap trope in the 80s

    • That's been an issue with me... the lack of a cohesive 'Have Not' crowd that has focus other than Leslie/Eva.   I would beef up Jan, Mona, Laura, Joey, and few other male characters.. and not just be out to overthrow the Duprees.. but co-existing and broadening the scope of the show since the show is called Beyond the Gates. I think the set up the show has with everything revolving around the Duprees will become predictable especially if they always win.   It would be like Victor Newman on Y & R for 40+ years.. always winning, hardly ever losing.   With MVJ/Guza.. both trained under that mindset... I fear that will happen.   I've always heard from a performer that is playing a character like Leslie/Dana that you have to find the victim/hurt beneath the surface in order to play a villain/villainess... and I think that's why I enjoy watching her.. because she brings so much more to the part than what the writers put on the page.
    • I figure that was really hard for Dom to do. I completely GET why they wrote it the way they did but I wonder if it was necessary. Meanwhile I have 2 really icky ideas in my head. Drew is going to blame Tracy KNOWING it was not her. Dante is going to blame Lulu.  After that, everyone else is going to be mad at Lois.  Tracy is going to double down on wanting to get rid of Sonny. Sonny's going to be more dug in to stay because he now has a new descendant.
    • I can actually buy Brook Lynn being so self-absorbed and incurious that she never thought to question why her mom and grandma were so attached to Gio.
    • It was overkill and the whole narrative Lois was too nice to the orphan kid when he was little, WHAT? Like Emma said no one thinks Gio is a troublemaker that gets 14-year-old kids drunk for fun. That being said, Lulu figured this Gio thing out in episode, but Brook Lynn never once questioned Lois and Gloria's attachment to a child that was the same age as the baby she gave up?  Ever?
    • Thanks for finding that. I may have been thinking of this blog entry.
