Members DRW50
DTC's poor track record with younger leading men continues. Sam Strike is leaving. http://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/s2/eastenders/news/a610024/eastenders-sam-strike-leaving-johnny-carter-role.html Can't say I'll miss him - he was mostly just a nice body, and the porn fic some people wrote with him was more compelling than his onscreen material. I think this whole story being set up with Ben using Abi as a beard while trying to get Johnny as his bit on the side is material none of the actors can handle, and just seems regressive and unpleasant. Strike is doing the show a favor if this story gets dropped. Edited November 14, 2014 by DRW50
Members Ben
It's a shame to lose Johnny, as I think he is one of the better Carter kids, however, they've not done anything with him outside of his sexuality, not developed his character or given him any kind of story for months. Now he's saddled in this regressive love triangle with Ben/Abi, which doesn't do their characters any favours, and is actually quite weird and lazy. But, they've not developed any of Carter kids, so Johnny is not a lone there, merely a casualty of too many family members arriving all at once, and Mick/Linda/Shirley gobbling up all the story. I think it's a bit of a failure to have the brand new family - the saviours of the show - fall apart within a year of being on screen.
Members TimWil
He's no big loss as far as I'm concerned. This has to have been an issue since the spring because there's been absolutely no focus on him since the attack on The Albert.
Members Bright Eyes
I would agree he's not a huge loss in the grand scheme of things, but I instantly warmed up to him and will miss him a lot. They should have never gotten rid of Gary Lucy. Edited November 14, 2014 by Bright Eyes

Members TimWil
I thought the ghosts sketch was fun. The Grease medley was pretty lame.

Members DRW50
Patsy Palmer in a Best Buy ad. (Charlie Brooks got the TV or movie role Patsy once had) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2838188/Her-big-Hollywood-break-EastEnders-star-Patsy-Palmer-makes-debut-new-Best-Buy-advert.html I saw some idiot on DIgital Spy (that place is a pit, why do I still read there) cackling about how busted Robert Kazinsky had more success than she did from the start. It took years for him to get any major roles. Deluded. And of course he's going to do better than she will, so the comparison is bizarre.
Members BetterForgotten
Patsy had to have known she wasn't exactly going to be getting anything if she moved to the States. She's over 40, has a thick cockney accent that I doubt she could hide well, and is not a classic beauty. The timing is just totally wrong for her. That said, I do not miss her on EE when I do watch. Bianca had become such insignificant and extremely grating character by the end that I was happy to see her go. Janine/Charlie Brooks is a different story though, as she basically carried the show during a really terrible era (which IMO has yet to end). Though, I can't see this new show working out well for her either and doubt she'll get any US roles as well.
Members DRW50
I'd be surprised if either of them do well, but I guess that's their choice. I'd love to see Charlie on something. She could probably have a decent run on something like Game of Thrones.

Members Ben
If they were actually interesting and engaging, it wouldn't be so bad; but they're quite dull and tedious.
