Ah okay thanks. I figured the writing was done longer in advanced. I think they already know what they're going to do with Emma/Hannah's exit in Fall(?).

Hmm...I never noticed before but Nancy/Jessica Fox can be quite pretty. She currently looks really good with bangs/brown hair.

LOL at Carmel being having potato-phobia.

Poor Hannah getting hurt because of Ash.

But how weird this all feels... He resigns as EP, then after a few months he comes back to head a spin-off or something? And when one says that he has projects "in development", that always spells "nothing will ever come out of it". Sadly.

I believe he resigned to take a higher post at Lime Pictures, the production company that produces Hollyoaks. The late-night spin-off is only like five hour long episodes, so I guess he figured what the hell, it won't hurt him to be in charge of it.

He's a gifted storyteller, and I really wish Lime had asked him create an entirtely new program, but that's not to be I guess.

And did he get it? The higher post? It's sad such gifted auteurs have very slight chances of getting a new program on air. And sometimes, even when they do, the shows turn out to be total train wrecks (network interferences and all).

I wonder what happened to Jonathan Harvey's telenovela for talkbackTHAMES and BBC... I bet there is a bible or a pilot written, but nothing came out of it.

I'm not a Hollyoaks fan, so I don't know what I'm doing here, but to answer one of your questions, I did read on DS a couple of weeks ago that the new producer's eps start in June. This is still BK's work.

Oh, I know, I had heard that the show has become crap, and wondered if you guys felt the same (hence me being here).

And on the subject of that telenovela, I was very surprised to read about it being in development, especially seeing as that kind of OTT drama is kind of a niche thing. I believe it was supposed to be called Beautiful Thing. Clearly it's been scraped. Googling it, there doesn't seem to be any reason why... unless I've missed it.

Janice Frame is Evan's mother. Janice & Mac were together. Janice was up to no good. Mitch was helping her. She was slowly, little by little, every day, POISONING Mac. She was almost successful. In St. Croix, Rachel & Janice began what was literally a physical fight. They fell into the resort swimming pool, continuing to fight each other. Somehow, I guess Janice had it on her, there was a knife in play but Rachel kept Janice from stabbing her & got it away from her & they continued to struggle until Rachel stabbed Janice, which was a death blow. Mitch did a 180 & helped Rachel get Mac to the hospital. He was so weakened by the poison he could not even stand unassisted. It took both of them together to walk him to the hospital but it did save his life.  The St. Croix remote was SO beautiful, but so dangerous & scary. Also action-packed. Hooray! Maxim's backSo, I just got home & this is what I found waiting for me. I wrote this several hours ago. I guess I neglected to hit send.
    • Thanks @skylark and @DRW50!
    •     data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw== Earlier I made a long reply but it doesn't exist. Crap.
    • I do not think I have ever agreed with Vee. Normally I do not read him, Ignore ya know. For some unknown reason I clicked to read. And I agree 1000%. Now, this is so odd that I need to go away for a bit.
    • Justine had a lot of hooey in it, but she was an actual woman, not a guy in drag. She was a doppelganger of Rachel, French, having had a past history with Carl, etc. Two of the more outrageous parts-Justine bricking alive Vicky into a wall & Justine grinding the gears driving a big rig.
    • Hehe, twi/x actually x, formerly Twitter. Typically I find 2 sources for "crazy fan rumors" - the wrong parts of FB and x. Oy.
    • Not to hijack the thread, but was that character Justine? I just found this interview online with Logan and see what you're talking about - wow!   http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/chat85.html
    • My bad….ill fix that  Fixed
    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.
