Members Franko
What I love about that first theme is how with each repetition, the melody becomes more and more majestic. Runner up would be the Osborne theme. In terms of opening graphics, I'd actually give the crown to the Mathis opening. Members amybrickwallace
Cool, thanks!! Were they the only three theme songs during the 12+ year run?
Members Franko
There was also the "New Age" edition -- (thanks, SayNoToUrSoap!) -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xoYmr7a8Po I rewatched the Mathis version. Not a fan of the music, but the graphics look nice (even in an admittedly poor upload), and really, I'd have loved to see new people get phased in as time went by. Those are caricatures, right? Members amybrickwallace
That was great. Look at that very young Susan Walters!! I have to admit snickering at that Nair ad with the kickline. Too hilarious.

Members TimWil
Reading through these posts jogged my memory: my friend, the late, wonderful Geraldine Court was Doug Marland's choice to play Ann Forbes but he was vetoed by Agnes Nixon and ABC. She said Doug told her that they wanted people who weren't already familiar from other soaps. The show was then called Love Without End. She had me in stitches mocking the script she'd received, saying that every other line had the town's name "Corinth" in it-"Well, Roger, Corinth isn't the same sleepy town it used to be."
Members amybrickwallace
I can only imagine her reactions to "Obonda Fever".
Members DRW50
I wonder why they cast Augusta Dabney and Wesley Addy. Of course neither of them were "names" on soaps...then again, Geraldine wasn't either. Ann Williams was, sort of. They would have likely been best off casting her as Ann. The first Ann was gone quickly and Callan White, while a beautiful lady, seems very bland in all I've seen of her in the role.
Members TimWil
The very first time Geraldine had me on the floor holding my sides with hysterical laughter was her description of the Obonda Fever storyline on The Doctors!
