which nominations would be awful?

oltl

tuc watkins being nominated for parading around in a towel or a boxer brief! his articles of clothing (or lack thereof) do more acting than he does. his himbo schtick is pathetic. is he even pre-nommed?

y&r

adrienne frantz getting a nom. she's been stinking up the screen as amber on b&b. the emmys already awarded her an emmy already. one mistake is enough!

atwt

hansis and/or silbermann getting nods thanks to the terrible media blitz and biased favoritism of mainstream and soap press. although their nods are practically done deals.

Van had a weak year, but at least the guy can act. Now if Jake gets a nod that will truly be laughable. I'd also say Tammin Sursok in the Younger Actress category would be even worse.

giggle. nothing would be worse than silbermann and/or hansis getting nods. although it would drive the fanatical nutties and the soap press wild!

Wow, I actually agree with you here ''bakedghoti'' about Van Hansis. Sorry to those who like him but I've never understood what's so great about his acting.

I don't think any emmy nomination would be awful...these are all stars of their shows who were picked because their fellow castmates feel as if they do a good job in front of the camera. There might be some favoritism from certain individuals but the list this year looks good. If anyone gets an Emmy nomination, they should be proud.

i agree however young actor lacks and all it takes is a good tape. im sure bryton can pull it off.

jen landon will get the nom and prob the much undeserved win. she phones in ()% of her work, but she does have a few good tapes.

GH - Maurice Benard. Well, obviously. The man is barely awake.

Julie Marie Berman. For putting on her biggest bitch-face when Jennifer Landon won last year. I know not many people feel JL deserved it but, jesus, JMB. Try and look at least moderately gracious! Plus, her acting is so one-note. Parodying Carly is not acting.

B&B - Ronn Moss or Jack Wagner. I think my head would explode!

Y&R - Joshua Morrow. Nothing against JM, he's a hottie and did great work during Cassie's death. But I don't think he exerted himself in the acting stakes this year beyond losing his memory and inserting a couple of "dudes" in every sentence he utters.

Oh, and if Lynn Marie Latham or Robert Guza are IN ANY WAY recompensed for the hack jobs they have done on Y&R and GH, respectively, then I will pull a Dr. Devlin and hunt them down with a toy sniper rifle! These two have been banging the final nail into Daytime's coffin this past year.

LOL! I guess initial promise and raw talent tend to breed envy in those who do not possess either.

    • I guess it depends on your device.  I can watch CW shows via their website on my Windows PC.
    • Ooooo A Liam episode? I'll watch it later today. They sure are churning the daily episodes out early.

    • Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while. It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though. And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future. But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that. As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either. Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.

    • I enjoy BF better on Days than on YR.   Chad is greater than Cane, in my opinion.
    • Ick! Seeing MS and BF making out as the characters onscreen was just ewwww.
