In five years on SB, Todd McKee never had a good story to call his own. Still, he brought so much charm to the role and was so likable that he always made Ted a character worth watching.

It's funny that JM mentioned him in her interview, because I have always enjoyed watching them in the background in group scenes.

The Sophia/Augusta feud could have helped drive story for years! What might have been...

Augusta vs. Sophia was a classic female soap feud, and I hate that TPTB never really developed that for years to come.

Yes. It should've been driving conflict for years. Hell, even a romance between C.C. & Augusta would've been insane.

CC and Augusta could have been so jealous of Sophia and Lionel bonding with - and over - Brick that they decided to pretend to have a fling to make their respective loves jealous. Then they fell for each other for real. That could have been a great story - if it ever happened.

It could have been a fantastic storyline. Has creative as the Dobsons were... they were their own worst enemies.

That is for sure. They got in their own way.

Yep. Shame, because Santa Barbara had such potential to last longer than it did. It, while being unlike the other hour-long American soaps, also stood up against them. But, between the Dobsons, NBC & New World, they just built this soap to fail.

I don't know if you listened to Alan Locher's chat with the people from Generations, but they had the same problem with NBC not playing hardball with its affiliates that SB did. Both shows may have lasted longer if NBC had been a more soap-friendly network.

Truthfully, most of the NBC soaps (aside from Days of Our Lives), should have been on different networks, and their successes might've been stronger.

That would have been great. Then once CC and Augusta started openly dating, Sophia and Lionel let go. I'm watching the storm where Sophia kidnapped Gina. Lionel rushed right out to save Sophia. Why? Because Lionel will always rush out to save Sophia, that's why.

Uhm, yeah, I see where the resolution to the death of Madeline is heading. And you are right. I am wrong. This was a stupid, not thought out well resolution. Dumb dumb dumb

I had the sense that they were going to have it revealed the CC was Warren's birthfather when it was revealed that Lionel wasn't. They spent so much time setting up a Mason/Warren rivalry. In the end, I'm glad they didn't go there though.

Yeah, but that was a retcon at the end. But I would have enjoyed a "This is happening now".
