I enjoyed two stories with Michael. The one with Julia in the convent and the Laura Asher/Leo Mitchell one.

But I never like Michael in particular and found him so boring.

Sometimes Santa Barbara look obsessed with some people and didn’t care for others more interesting.

For me people like Michael or Cain Garver should have leave the show before they did. They lasted so much.

For example, Cain was an important character with the Eden/Elena storyline. I didn’t like him but he was totally necessary for the plot.

But, why he continued after that? Cain should have never been important post Eden story.

He lasted so much. Also, I like Ally Walker so I wish she was paired with other and not Cain.

Frank Runyeon agreed with you there. He said as much when he left or was fired or whatever.

I hated him on ATWT, but I have to admit I don't mind him in the clips I've seen on SB, even if it often feels like he later just becomes a Cain replacement in Cruz's life.

So many promising actors came and went on SB. I was just watching a clip with Pearl and Kyle Secor earlier today and was reminded again of how he got snapped up by NBC primetime after the show seemingly had little use for him.

It does seem like after the first two years...the show just focused on a small number if characters...with other characters only lasting 1 to 2 years.

In some cases, like with the character of Amy...the actress chose to leave and the show wisely didn't recast...but I didn't get why the show spent a good year building up a new family for Lional (wife and two step daughters) only to write them all off after a year or so.

The show banked too much on the Capwells...but once they were recast or left...the family was basically non existent by 1992...so I don't blame Pam Long for what she did..cause the structure was gone...and I did think the Walker family was a good idea.

With that said, you had the perfect Santana in Ava...yet she only lasts a few months.  Color me confused..because she had chemistry with Cruz..and good antagonistic vibes with Eden...so the whole cruz/Santana marriage to regain Brandon..would have been even better with Ava in the role.  Plus her opposite robin mattson...would have been awesome.  Oh well

Gina Gallego seems like such a sweetheart from all of her interviews, but I couldn't stand how her Santana was written. She was a whiny, spineless mess. It would have been a good move if they had tried to get Ava Lazar back in 1991 when Santana was brought back onto the canvas, rather than casting Wanda De Jesus. Jed Allan did not get along with her AT ALL, and it just seems that WDJ's Santana was too old.

    • Of course, sexy silver fox Dr. Jeffrey Russell has to be in cahoots with EJ so that Kayla's morals don't look selfish and skewed when she is completely in the wrong in letting Steve accidentally on purpose look at the important hospital files. Anyone find it funny that a handful of characters slurred their words today?  I can't quite explain it, but sometimes, like today, I feel like Deidre Hall plays scenes too light or passive, for lack of a better word. She's definitely more known as a charismatic personality than powerhouse actress compared to her soap diva counterparts from other soaps, but I just wish she could give me more. I did, however, like that her scenes with EJ got a 'to be continued...' about Belle. Maybe then I'll see more of what I want from her. Have Shawn and Johnny literally ever had a scene together before today? If they start having Sarah in a scene where she connects with literally any other Horton, then I'll be really impressed.  I'm glad they went through the trouble of explaining why EJ bid on Cat. It made enough sense, and I laughed when Chad spit out his asking about it as soon as humanly possible.

    • But Leslie is doing it all for her daughter.

Such a liar. Great episode but Martin needs to be recast. He hasn't improved. I didn't feel anything for him because of his acting and the writing. He has been so isolated from Ted and Nicole that he doesn't seem like their son, much less family. Leslie is pure evil. She wants Ted and the house and the riches that go with it. She doesn't care about Eva. I felt really bad for Eva.
    • I dont understand the motivation behind it. Eva is her link to Ted and the Duprees and without her, she has nothing. It would have served better for Eva to be all fed up with her and leave the house on her own and Leslie try to make amends bc she needs her for this comeup she's been talking about. Eva can repair her relationship with Ted and maybe build something with the Duprees and cut her out
    • So good today Dante is overreacting blaming gio Hopefully Danny will come clean
    • Not mad at Leslie Locking Eva out, I think it's important for the audience to see her on her own for a while. Curious how scrappy and savvy she becomes on her own. Yeah, I am with you there. It feels a bit hollow; maybe if she was talking to Martin and Kat I would feel better about it. There must be more to this story. Daphnee and Ambyr owned this episode. Tugging my heart in every scene. Nicole process hurt and anger much differently than Dani though.
    • I also really enjoyed Eva's scenes with Kat today. They have an interesting chemistry. I thought it really did feel a bit like sisters at conflict. Especially with the way that Eva was trying to convince Kat to forgive Ted and them both coming to the conclusion that the man they thought was their father was different wasn't who they really thought he was initially. And the way that Eva broke down when Kat said that she was dead to her was emotional stuff. I really do think that in spite of their conflict/bickering Eva really would have loved to have gained a sister, along with a brother, father, etc... Also, I thought it was interesting how Eva kept saying that she loves Ted and Nicole. That and Leslie mentioning that Kat/Eva are almost twins really does make me wonder if Kat may really be her twin and Nicole's as well. I would gladly welcome that outcome, even if it takes a while for it to come out. At this point Leslie doesn't deserve Eva as a daughter as far as I'm concerned. And I would forward to a storyline where we found out that she's Nicole's second baby girl, and all the complex and ultimately happy feelings that would bring Nicole. Eva/Kat could still have a rivalry, especially if Nicole ended up doing some more bonding with Eva. And then we could get the rest of the family's reaction to that as well.
