March 4, 200818 yr Member My favorite is when Susan Lucci finally won her Emmy for playing the lovely Erica Kane on AMC Least favorite is a tie between Vanessa Marcil winning in 2003 and the mishap in 2002 between Susan Flannery/Susan Lucci (the two children who announced the winner made it sound like they said Lucci but not Flannery...they said Flannery but it sounded like Lucci to the audience)
March 4, 200818 yr Author Member LOL Jason! I have to post both of yours because I'm glad that Lucci finally won her Emmy in 1999 too, but I totally forgot all about that Susan/Susan mishap in 2002. I'm sorry, but I do remember laughing though. I'm sorry- I thought it was funny! 1999 - Daytime Emmy Awards - Susan Lucci Susan Flannery wins an emmy 2002
March 4, 200818 yr Member Well, Noel, thankfully you posted both of the Susan Lucci videos since I do not care to see VM win again I didn't laugh at the whole SL/SF mishap because it was just...dumb. I mean, they just acted like two children.
March 4, 200818 yr Member BEST- Vanessa Marcil wins the mmy she deserves! I love how shes freaking out and shocked and greg vaughan is like "yes yes. you won" and he is trying to held her stand up. Chad Brannon's emmy win! Love the moment between him & Tamara Braun. She was so happy for him. Wost- umm... i have no words. how the hell can be VR be presenting NL with an award for acting?
March 4, 200818 yr Member I'm glad Vanessa won too. My favorite Emmy moment was when Genie won last year. I was so excited for her. My least favorite Emmy moment was when Natalia Livingston won. What a joke.
March 5, 200818 yr Member Fave moment is OLTL winning Best Drama in 2002. Also Kassie Depaiva finally netting an Emmy nod for Lead Actress. Least fave moment: All the GH wins. LOL!!
March 5, 200818 yr Member I love how shes freaking out and shocked She was shocked because she knew that it was Robin Christopher's Emmy and not hers. The only reason she won was that the dumbass judges felt sorry over the way ABC treated her. I say horse hockey. They treated her fine by not caving in to her silly demands. March 5, 200818 yr Member She was shocked because she knew that it was Robin Christopher's Emmy and not hers. The only reason she won was that the dumbass judges felt sorry over the way ABC treated her. I say horse hockey. They treated her fine by not caving in to her silly demands. Felt bad for her? why? she said nothing bad of ABC/GH. She just wanted to work less - ABC knew they couldnt have brenda and not use her all the time, and it didnt work. Furthermore that was not RC's emmy. It very well could have went to any of the amazing woman that got a nom. they all would have deserved it.
March 5, 200818 yr Author Member Of course, I had to post this video clip again for this thread, but I didn't want you guys to think that I'm obsessed with Cynthia Watros or anything. I'm just SOOO happy she won and I must admit that she had a lot of competition and this was her first nomination! Because poor pitiful VM did not get what the top dog wanted...and the judges pulled a sympathy vote for her.
March 5, 200818 yr Author Member ^^ Jack, I think you need to make Jason here a lovely Vanessa Marcil banner. And have Adam Chandler secretly put the banner in his signature just for laughs!
March 6, 200818 yr Member AMC wins Best Drama in 1998 for the plane crash and Maria's "death". I thought they won for the Keven Sheffield storyline?
March 6, 200818 yr Member I thought they won for the Keven Sheffield storyline? I know that one episode they submitted was for the Kevin Sheffield story...not sure if the other was for the plane crash (although the plane crash would have been a great submission for Directing Team)
