I just read on TMZ.com that Shell Kepler who played Nurse Amy Vining passed away from Renal failure in Portland ,Ore. She was only 49 years old.....R.I.P.

GH should definitely figure out some way to do a tribute, but with this group at the helm, it's unlikely.

I too wish GH would do something, but with the current regime we'll be lucky to even get a small mention of her passing at the end of a show.

she played that nosy big mouth nurse who always used to gossip. She was Laura's sister and was last seen in 2002, I beleive

It would be nice for GH to at least flash a memorial card at the end of an episode, but I don't have too much faith in this group, as was said above.

Not holding my breath for a tribute. All these people know how to do anymore is kill off characters, then have them parade around as ghosts.

So so I really liked Amy. She was so funny with all her gossiping. I've missed Shell over the years. Rest In Peace Shell. Gone too soon.

My net was down all day yesterday and TMZ is in my usual rounds of sites I surf and I just read that, opened another tab and came here. How sad and so young too. I remember her character on GH. She was one of the funny ones, always up in everyones business. She will be missed and my prayers go out to her family and it would be nice if GH did something even at the end, but like most of you have said, highly doubt it.

I too hope GH pays tribute to Shell. They should have Amy have died offscreen, maybe of the same thing as Ms. Kepler did. Maybe have a funeral, and have Luke and Lesley visit Laura and tell her.
