Megan McTavish is like nearly 60 as well.

She turns 59 this year...I wonder if we should all pitch in and give her a birthday gift

I'd agree that Megan was good at first, but she had a lot more to work with. Her big storylines of 2003 (Bianca's rape, Michael's murder and the Greenlee/Jack reveal), for example, were just built off of storylines that were already there. That's Megan's style, though (usually), she can be really good and hit the ground running, but then not only does she run out of steam, she loses her god d@mn marbles and starts writing destructive storylines.

McTavish did inherit a lot of positive aspects. I'd argue that when Anna Cascio joined Gordon Rayfield, the show went on an immediate upswing and the show was getting better by the day by the time their work stopped airing. The BAD aspects of the show at that time were things could be easily swept away. For example, when McTavish took over, she got rid of the newbies, and ended a lot of storylines that weren't working, very easily. By the time McTavish left, her "stamp" she had put on the show could never be undone, her damage has lasting ramifications that the show to this day suffers from.

B&E's tenure right now? Much ado about nothing. It's boring and forgettable as others have said, but destructive, oh they don't even holding a freak candle to McTavish.

McTavish took a chainsaw to AMC, B&E have used a dull weedwacker to do their damage.

I will get her a tampon just for the hell of it. Who knows maybe she has not gone through menopause yet

But man that woman going through her periods....ouch! It would be like Godzilla trying to squeeze through two pencil shaped buildings.

And watch it, Megs! Don't piss off B&E too much or else they might get rid of your niece Courtney Bugler.

Don't forget the peanut butter! Or the bananas!

The funny thing is that B&E seemed so deferential to McTavish in their first interviews after taking the head writer job. They were really hesitant to criticize any of her stories - even though any criticism would have been much deserved.

I just hope they reverse the unabortion and restore the history. I would not want Josh to leave since I like him but they should make him the child Erica thought she miscarried with Phil. It can easily be done

Well, they kind of slammed her for the Dixie story. But you're right, they could've REALLY blasted her writing but they didn't.

I think you're all missing the point of this article - B&E are back and our hopes for new headwriters have been dashed! :(
