Agreed. What OLTL needs is that one, scorching, front-burner story that gets people talking (again), and gets 'em on the covers of all the magazines. Something like the Jenny/Katrina baby switch or Marco Dane's murder trial, when Karen Wolek admitted she was a prostitute.

Crazy secrets all over Llanview right now, it is amazing to think they are all connected in one way or another. It just baffles my mind how well this was planned out by headwriter, RC!

Other secrets floating around right now:

-Jared's & Charlie's connection with Pamela?

-Is Rex the father of Gigi's son Shane?

-What is Roxy hiding?

-Jared keeping his secret from Natalie?

-RJ keeping Lindsay's secret, what else is Lindsay hiding?

THE GREATEST PART ABOUT IT ALL, what secrets will be revealed during the "Go Red Gala"???

In my wildest dreams...

Charlie. He and Roxy were probably drunk when they conceived Rex. When she learned she was pregnant, and that Walter was not the baby's father, she decided to give him to Corinne to raise. Therefore, Rex and Jared are half-brothers.

(Okay, checking SOW and...that's actually happened, which shocks me, to be honest. I don't know whether I'm as brilliant as Ron Carlivati, or whether he's as idiotic as I am.)

Either, 1) Jessica is not Mitch's daughter; or 2) Mitch, and not David - or Jared, or anyone else - is, or was, the missing Buchanan son. Therefore, Jessica is still not Clint's (biological) daughter, but she is a Buchanan again.

They're from the same institution and...something else.

I think Monday's ep answered that question. Pamela is Charlie's sister, and therefore, Jared and Rex's aunt. At least, that's how things appear to be. ;)

I think it's obvious he is.

That, despite what we've been told or led to believe, Lindsay, in fact, did not kill Spencer Truman...and that Miles did...and that Addie knows that Miles did.

I totally agree. How awesome is it that so many characters are players in different stories? Some stories are connected with solid lines, and some with dotted lines. So, when something happens to one characters another is affected, and then another, and so on. Brilliant!!!!!

The timing of this strike sucks for OLTL, RC and the viewers who are finally being treated to some smart soap opera.

Allison Perkins was, back in the eighties, one of evil Mitch Laurence's evil assistants and part of some cult he led or something like that. She kidnapped baby Jessica in 1986 shortly after her birth and she was dressed up as Niki Smith, Viki's crazy alter, to make Clint and Viki think Niki was back or something to that manner(also it was later revealed she kidnapped both Jessica and Natalie) and gave Natalie to Walter Balsom(Roxy's husband who delivered Jessica and Natalie) and then returned Jessica. However in 1986, the Natalie part wasn't known about onscreen.

Allison returned in like 2001 or 2002 when the Jessica/Natalie stuff was revealed, and Allison was outed. After she was apart of all of that drama, and some encounters with a very pissed Niki Smith( ), she was sent to St.Ann's.

I think thats it, although I might be missing some minorish stuff.

    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archivedcopy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.
