I guess if we keep saying Nancy Curlee's coming back, that'll make it so.

DaytimeFan, hasn't some actor said in an interview that Brad is increasingly anxious about the current situation in regards to writing?

You're absolutely right...whichever actor it was (who went nameless) said that Brad was getting anxious about the writing after the strike began. Another nameless actor also said that the scripts were arriving in secret and that none of the cast had any idea who was writing them. However, I suspect that one of two things was behind these statements: 1-It's PR to make Brad Bell, on strike and anxious, look good. 2-It was said before Kay Alden went Fi Core. Maybe it was a bit of both. All I'm saying is that if Brad Bell did not trust Kay Alden he would never have let her become the HW during the strike...he would have had Maria Arena Bell pull double duty ;)

Sure. It's our new mantra. B)

Sure. I understand the thing no. 1 but have problems with no. 2. :)  I'm not sure what you mean exactly.

She hasn't written for a soap in such a long time! Saying that she's returning is like saying Doug Marland is going to write it. It's not going to happen. I don't mean to be pessimistic, but it's the truth.

He is Y&R's next EP (after the strike) and Nancy Curlee will be head writing. B)

If he became EP eeee!!!

Not too sure about this Nancy Curlee thing, you seem to be really pushing the point forward though  You related to her some how? :P

Ive been many things on this board - Vincent Latham, Patrick Mulcahey, I'm still Brad Bell in disguise etc. - but no one (until this point) named me as a relative of Curlee's. It's a new thing and I like it. B)

What I mean with No 2 is perhaps Brad Bell just decided to hire nameless scabs or have production staffers do the writing or he did ALL the writing himself and he was alarmed with the quality or felt like he was burning out...meetings were held, palms were greased and Kay Alden went Fi Core.

Now I see what you mean. :)

I'm just still not liking Priscilla Kay Alden's decision to go financial core. I have absolutely no idea why she did it.

I think it comes down to this: Kay loves daytime, she loves the Bells, she's not trying to 'make it' as a writer, she's hit the apex of her career, this strike doesn't look like it'll end soon, she doesn't want B&B to go down the drain creatively when it's been on such an upswing. Essentially, she's taking one for the team.

Maybe this has been discussed 10 pages back, or even more, but in 1988 did anyone go fi-core? Or is this new to this strike?

Sylph is not - I repeat, IS NOT - Vincent Latham Lechowick; and any suggestions to such a claim is purely conjecture.

Believe me, folks, you don't wanna go there. ;)
