Members Y&RWorldTurner
Anyone else beginning to think that (thankfully) Amanda L. Beall IS NOT coming to Y&R? I mean rain1 told us this news on July 2, which means he/she most likely heard about it somewhere in June. It's already September, and Beall is still credited at AMC and has yet to pop up on Y&R. Since Y&R has a fairly fast script to tape schedule, Beall would've/should've already left AMC for Y&R. However, she's still at AMC (credits wise at least). I'm beginning to think rain1 was playing some type of joke on us. I mean, according to Jeanne Cooper, the episode that Janice Ferri Esser was credited on was taped somewhere in late July/early August and aired last week. I find it highly weird and suspicious that Beall would announce she's leaving AMC for Y&R in June and not show up on the Y&R credits already, but still turn out material at AMC. Members Sylph
Now that you mention it... It does seem strange. Only, if I remember correctly, I had a non-rain1 confirmation that the woman was leaving AMC. I don't know. Besides... That whole transition is so weird to me! Why would Amanda leave Children and of all soaps end up on Y&R?
Members dm.
Toups, can you check if Beall is really heading to Genoa City? It seems strange that she wasn't added yet. However, it could also be like Chuck Pratt's arrival in Pine Valley. Maybe they delayed Beall's arrival or something. I hope not.
Members PAsoapfan
As a Beall fan I really hope she's NOT leaving AMC. I like her work not all of it but she's 10times better then Hayes, Walsh, & Taylor
Members LeClerc
The Beall thing is probably still true. After all Tracey Thomson's stuff hasn't started airing on AMC yet and that news tidbit came out at the same time. But it's clear that's happening because Thomson has not been credited at in GH about a month.

Members aMLCproduction
Wasn't Beal Hated on AMC? I am so glad about Esser going back to Y&R. How long did she work on Y&R?
Members JONNYSBRO
I have always enjoyed Carolyn Culliton. Tom Casiello has even said that Carolyn taught Hogan Sheffer about writing a soap opera. Culliton was Sheffer's mentor. Carolyn is always a good edition to any soap. She was great for ATWT and I wish she would return there as head writer replacing Jean Passanante IMO Sheffer went south when Culliton was replaced by Jean Passanante. I always thought that if Higley was axed, they would have given the head writing position to Carolyn but they went for Ron. Carolyn is much better then her husband. I would love to see her return to ATWT though because she knows that show so well.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
I don't think Carolyn is the best fit to solo HW a show. I heard her brief solo HW stint on GL in 1983 wasn't well liked, but she was younger then. I also know many didn't like her solo HW stint on AW from 94-95, but that show was already so damaged. Then of course there's the unstableness that was Port Charles, which was created by the Culliton's and they served as HW's during the show's first couple of months... Members Y&RWorldTurner
I just stumbled upon an interview with Shelley Curtis that was a done a few months ago, she's so right in regards to what she think of the soap industry, and sadly she says she's "done" with soaps. I've always had great respect for her. I've often wondered how different DAYS would've been had Corday promoted her to the Co-EP role in 1992 instead of Langan, or if she someday rose to EP status at GH (a show she has a lengthy with). I really wish she would've gotten a chance at EP-ing a soap, I think she "got" the genre and was a vital part of some very good years at both DAYS and GH. I loved these parts of the interview: http://www.damemagazine.com/life/work/f208...raordinaire.php
Members Jonathan
It's so sad she has these regrets. It's sounds like she threw all her blood, sweat, and tears into the soap industry and got no thanks in return.
