Because I'm an idiot. I gave up. then, a few months back went through "a stressful event." Hello, cigarettes. Think it's time to give up again.

Although I presumed "fake cigarettes" existed, I'm actually quite surprised to find that they do exist.

Why? To glamourize smoking? I don't care that a bunch of people do it I would rather not see it on TV. Many advertisers would chose not to advertise during the show because there are groups are a very vocal about shows that feature smokers and soaps don't need another reason for advertiser to pay less or not at all.

I dont see what it would add to the show so I dont see a need for it as it would be unnecesary

I'm with Cheap on this one. I don't want to see someone smoke just for the sake of doing so, it really doesn't add anything to the show, and would be completely unnecessary

The "children might watch" excuse is probably the most stupid ever. Violence is alright but smoking, cursing and nudity aren't, so stupid. The show should not stop doing things because parents can't raise their children.

Just because it's on TV doesn't mean it's being glamourized. It's like cheating, every character does it, it doesn't mean it's being championed or held in high regard, it's just a fact of life.

Smoking is an awful habit but it's not hard to imagine someone like Victor Newman propping his feet up and chomping on a cigar at the end of the day. Or even someone like Carly from GH smoking a pack a day because omgherlifeissostressful.

On GL, Wendy Moniz's Dinah smoked. Since the actress didn't smoke, the show got cigarettes that were filled with lettuce or something. Anyone else remember this?
