October 30, 200718 yr Member I agree, slowly but surely Frons will shuffle the soaps off and cheap reality programs on, just like AMC Zendall Fan pointed out about VH1 and MTV. And just like those two networks SOAPNet will crumble. I also don't see DAYS getting picked up again once its first SOAPNet contract expires. It's been moved into a terrible timeslot and Y&R has taken over it's prime one. Additionally, Frons has spoken of doing a Y&R SOAPNet spinoff. UGH! C'mon Disney, Fire Frons!

"But we wanted to create a brand that's young and hip and relevant to today's viewers, and I think we very much succeeded in doing that." Thanks for that, Ms. Blackwell. But exactly WHO wanted a "young and hip brand" and precisely which of today's viewers is that brand "relevant" to? And what has the cost in full been to the genre and its longtime fans? Brian
October 30, 200718 yr Member WTF does he have on the higher ups that they KEEP on promoting him???? Judging by his scary ascension to power, probably something along the lines of "I saw you dressing up in your wife's clothes and putting on her makeup".
October 30, 200718 yr Member Blackwell to CBS Daytime damnit! Are you listening Nina Tasler, Nancy Tellem, and Les Monves?
October 30, 200718 yr Member WTF does he have on the higher ups that they KEEP on promoting him???? Jeff Zucker is a better example of someone who does an abysmal job, but continues to be promoted. He's now the President & CEO of NBC Universal. I really thought Frons would be shown the door this year or next, but now it is more than evident that Disney has an agenda with their daytime lineup. I may be a Debbi Downer, but I have reason to be. Look at the way Ryan's Hope, Santa Barbara, Loving and Another World were treated. All were relatively good shows, but the network executives were indifferent to them. I really feel AMC will became a half hour show again, and OLTL may soon follow. All hail King Frons!
October 30, 200718 yr Member She looks relatively young, compared to other network executives. Someone please hire her!
October 30, 200718 yr Member Yeah it is YRBB and I hope the board doesn't shut down Edited October 30, 200718 yr by AMC Zendall Fan
October 30, 200718 yr Member Is that Frons on the right? Yes, that sure is the s.o.b. I hope someone hires Deborah Blackwell, and I'm afraid for SoapNet now that Frons is the head of SoapNet.
October 30, 200718 yr Member Is that Frons on the right? Frons is the one on the far right. The guy in the middle is Peter Price, the head of NATAS.
October 30, 200718 yr Member Yes, that's who I meant! lol thanks Couldn't you have warned us that his ugly mug would be on the pic???!!! lol :D
October 30, 200718 yr Member Frons is the one on the far right. The guy in the middle is Peter Price, the head of NATAS. And we all know what NATAS is backwards.
