October 25, 200718 yr Member Last week was the most fantastic week in so many YEARS on Days....I am hoping for a rise, even if it is very small....
October 25, 200718 yr Member Critical Time for ATWT, and GL. Renewing contracts with CBS in July...but contemplating now!!
October 25, 200718 yr Member Well the numbers should be interesting last week and this week, due to the shows being interrupted with news (fires/shooting and misc.) stories. I'm sure the networks will have no problem spinning this appropriately I expect a major drop!
October 25, 200718 yr Member What day did the fires start? The article I found says October 21st: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206...Lk&refer=us. I can't remember what day I started hearing about them but it seems longer then just Sunday. But if it was October 21st that wouldn't of affected last weeks ratings.
October 25, 200718 yr Member There were two preemptions last week in the NYC tri-state area market, I believe. That should factor heavily in the ratings for this week, since that's the biggest televison market in the country. I believe there might have been other preemptions in smaller markets too last week. Count me in for lower overall ratings this week... Edited October 25, 200718 yr by Y&RWorldTurner
October 25, 200718 yr Member I wonder if the ratings will be delayed because of the pre-emptions. I don't know if the ratings will be affected too much because of the fires. There weren't any interuptions in my area.

The fires probably just affected Friday. I'm sure next weeks numbers will be influenced even more due to the length of this unfortunate event!
October 25, 200718 yr Member The ratings would be for last week, the fires started this week. And in california they are showing YR late at night,
October 25, 200718 yr Member Critical Time for ATWT, and GL. Renewing contracts with CBS in July...but contemplating now!! Actually, I think no decisions will be made till Spring. The new/cheaper "digicam" format will start in January. I think CBS will see how it does, and then make some decisions. So, I think the P&G ratings can basically do what they want between now and January. However, if Nuke can continue to trend ATWT ratings up, that wouldn't be a bad thing.

October 25, 200718 yr Member TPTB at CBS/ATWT have to ask themselves when they came up with these lame stories ideas - have we seen this a million times before? can we do it different/better than it was before? Stories like Meg getting pregnant are not only boring and done to death, but it's even more asinine than the previous million times we've seen it. Such a waste of everyone involved in that story. CarKack also is going in a merry-go-round we've seen before. They need have an "original idea" contest or something instead of Daytime Dollars. They need help.

Not only has it been done before, but it's a total slap in the face for the viewers who watched the original history play out. Meg should never be able to have children. That was a good story when it was originally done, now they're rewriting it for the sake of a half-assed plot story. It's ridiculous. Paul's got miracle sperm...UGH. They bring back Cady and waste her with this asinine story.
