Members Y&RWorldTurner
IF Kay Alden were writing B&B surely she would be credited for her work and she didn't go Fi-Core. I doubt if she were writing the show "illegally" she'd want her cover to be blown.
Members Sylph
I'm amazed at C. Hinsey's blatant statement and its directness. I also wonder why did she get this idea.
Members brimike
Nothing like outting alleged scabs with no verification to kick off the weekend, huh, Carolyn? *shakes head in disgust*

Members brimike
LOL!!!!!!!!! See, here's the thing. Whatever we fans think of them as writers, printing something like this could effectively mean the end of a CAREER. These people have homes and children and lives. I'm not saying I support scabbing, but someone like CH should put some long and hard thought into an article like this because it could potentially do some serious damage to REAL PEOPLE'S LIVES. Not just names in the credits of a show you watch on TV... human beings, Carolyn!!! If somebody wants to take the moral high ground and reveal who these people are, think about the consequences for everyone. And from reading this article, I don't think there was one iota of cause-and-effect rationalization in Hinsey's head. Remember the days when we used to debate what the FICTIONAL CHARACTERS did on the screen? Jumpin' Jeebus, I really miss those days...
Administrator Toups Posted January 25, 2008 Administrator Share Posted January 25, 2008 Some writers didn't go Fi-Core right off the bat, so that's why they're not listed right away. If the Guild ever finds out who's scabbing, those writers will be kicked out of the guild and could never be hired again. That's why it's so risky to name names in a publication where people will take you seriously.
Members Graciecat
Well isn't that intriguing- my mind went immediately to GH. I think of them as having the most pet-centric writing of any soap. Three characters at the center of EVERYTHING for nearly a decade now. During the strike, I think we've seen a lot more of forgotten characters. How interesting that multiple scab teams are offering so much more variety, though. I support the writers, but I think daytime has probably improved, overall.

Members juppiter
lol, ATWT is still airing Passanante episodes. I think the writer described was LML or Sheffer.
Members DaytimeFan
What tact and intelligence displayed by Ms Hinsey...what a whacked out cow. It would not surprise me if Kay Alden was writing B&B...because think of it this way: the WGA can moan and complain and kick her out of the guild all they like but the fact of the matter is that the Bells can keep her on staff at B&B if they want to because it's their show, they own it outright and it's their call. Granted, Kay's title would have to change (perhaps consulting producer would fit the bill nicely) but she could still write for B&B without a problem. Let's face it, Kay is in her late 50's and she's rich...at this point what does she care? I think she's sort of 'over' the idea that being a writer affords you all sorts of creativity, it's a corporate world kids which is why B&B is such a good place for her since it's the last family soap left. She's already picked up a couple WGA awards and a slew of Emmys...as far as the Bells are concerned she'd just be a real doll for taking one for the team. That being said, I doubt she's actually scabbing. Fi Core is more likely. However, if in fact she isn't doing anything during the strike...she should sue Ms Hinsey's ass off! Administrator Toups Posted January 25, 2008 Administrator Share Posted January 25, 2008 Since Hinsey outed Kay Alden......I can now confirm, for those who don't believe Hinsey, that Alden has indeed gone Fi-Core for B&B. As far as the Higley stuff reported by Hinsey, no comment - I'm not touching that! LOL
