I understand Marlena calling Sami, because I would have done the same. Whenever something bad happens, I immediately start calling family to get their support and help. She was right there with John, holding him, there wasn't anything else she could do for him.

So glad we got one last "that's a fact" today. It made me smile, which was good because Sami's "you're my dad, too" had already made me cry.

Marlena: "John...John.....We're so close to the clinic.....we're so close. I need you to hang on.....Just hang on....hang on."

Belle walking down the stairs and sees Marlena laying on the ground.

Belle: "Mom?"

She runs towards them.

Marlena: "Belle, oh my God, you're here."

Belle: "Daddy?!! What happened?"

Marlena: "A car.....A car came out of nowhere. I heard the tires screeching and then it was gone."

Belle: "Daddy, can you here me? It's Belle...I'm here. Did you call 911?"

Marlena: "Of course I did, and then I tried to call you."

Belle: "Why didn't they stop? Mom, what kind of person hits someone and keeps driving.....Oh my God, daddy!! Who did this??!!"

Marlena: "We know who would do this"

Belle: "You think Stefano did this, don't you."

Marlena: "John, we're here. Hang on my love. Hang on....take our strength and hold on...Hold on....Hold him, Belle, hold him.......We've got you."

Exactly Days4Life.

Not to mention the fact that given John was attacked, Marlena probably figured Sami could be in danger too so she had to tell her with the Dimera's around. She is John's stepdaughter so that alone is enough reason.

Fantastic show. Loved the location shooting. Very primetime-like. I just loved seeing Belle actually park her car and enter the clinic and the scenes at the end when she came out. Loved the camera angle with her running over. Awesome work.

Frank Parker really has been impressive. Loved the Andre drama. How ironic that he killed himself again. Joe was superb again and PR was on fire today. Loved his telling Stefano that he put Andre on this path and, basically, killed him.

Loved the background music. Technically, everything was fantastic. The Sami/EJ scenes had a nice foreboding feeling. Nice eerieness.

J&M were so much fun. Loved the playfulness. The Sami/John scene was sad. It really got to me. I also saw tears in Dee and Drake's eyes in that scene when EJ came to the Pub door. I know it wasn't intentional but I noticed it. The actual accident was superb. It was so realistic and kudos to Drake on doing his own stunts. The end scene with Marlena calling Sami was heartbreaking. AS, MM, and DH rocked that last scene. I was tearing up big time. Wow...

Bring on next week. Awesome Friday show.

LOL Toups.

This show is fantastic today. If Tony and Anna were on it would be like a dream come true to have EVERYONE on like this.

John and Marlena!!! SO good to see them in excellent scenes like this.

Bye Andre...you were fun while you lasted. But you better not come back after this. :P

LMAO @ Dr Rebert!

Drake didn't do his own stunt, it was a stunt man.

I can't belive they finally give me the John & Marlena I love (bickering, bantering, playful) and then BAM, death by car keys. DH's scream was amazing though (esp since she doesn't like to do those scenes).

    • I like Margaret well enough in what I've seen of her as Paige - she is green but she has real star power.  I agree about the actor who plays Brian. He's...mostly just there. Not bad but not great.  My main issue is with the guy who plays Owen. He's just not appealing to me. I can believe Nola being obsessed with him, but he's draining to watch.  I'm surprised people objected to the quasi-incest elements as it wasn't anything that new for soaps.  Speaking of Kim, here's a rare episode of an anthology show she did called The Evil Touch.

    •   I get what you're both saying, and I think the show was lucky to have even made it that long, but I think they could have still maintained a certain audience - Second Chances did before the earthquake. CBS was an older network anyway. I think the premise of Knots was still usable, it was more the characters who were a problem - many of the older figures were played out. If the show had done a better job building up its younger cast instead of making so many poor choices in the late '80s and early '90s, they could have kept things going a little longer.
    • I wish I cared about the homeless lady as much as everyone else seems to. After the nothing burger that was the lawsuit, this just feels like another boring Naomi storyline at Orphy Genes since she has no office.
    • That's great to hear. Thanks. I wish that was more readily available.
    • Just learned that Clifton Davis wrote this song!  I had no idea.

    • I think even if Marland had wanted to write more for Sara/Adam, his hands would have been tied as Robert Milli was one of the actors dumped by P&G due to his age.  From the bits and pieces I've seen of that period, Sara does have a key role in the Carrie plot, and Marland briefly gave her son Tim a more important part. I'm not sure if they just gave up on Tim once Kevin Bacon left or if they never really cared. I did not even know for many years that there was an actor in the part after Kevin...and then not one, but two. The Spauldingfield video on Tim doesn't even show the last actor (Nigel Reed), which kind of says it all. Anyway, I do get the sense Marland has some use for Sara, or for Millette. It's only after he goes that she is dumped. Of course he didn't ever hire her for his other shows, so maybe I'm wrong. (then again he never hired Geraldine Court either and he seemed very fond of her) Ann is an odd character to me as she is a proto-Lillian in being defined by pining for a Bauer brother and being involved in the death of one of their wives. I do wonder what else they could have done with her. She was friends with Diane, wasn't she? They could have had Diane manipulate her against Mike, I suppose.
    • Yassss....come on Maurice and Brandon...give us nothing!!! Wow, their need to develop their craft shone like a blinding light this episode. Brandon in his Martin and Smitty scenes sounded like he was reading and the facial expressions were giving Disney Channel. He did much better against Maurice in the Martin v Ted scenes. Now, Teddd-dyy (Dana's voice) was just flat. I watched the episode just now after reading the comment on here that Maurice needs to stop swaying, and now I can't unsee it. Has it really been this bad all along?  Ambyr carries. I don't need to say anymore. I am kind of excited to see this Kat/Tomas/Eva stuff play out.  Bill is such a dick to Dani. Like that's the mother of your children that you cheated on with your daughter's best friend but you look to take those low blows. Lord! When he said that thing about it being obvious he didn't care about Dani anymore since he was the one that walked out...that was cold. I even felt for Dani. Bill definitely is all over the spectrum. You can see a villain possibly surfacing, but you also see this great father. The elder Duprees move a little funny. I'm wondering what that is all about. Are they just overly protective matriarch and patriarch because they think it's what's best for their family, or are they afraid their secrets will come out or there's something more sinister there. Why would Vernon want to keep that information from Martin?  I hope something interesting comes out of this June stuff, but as of right now, I'm not too invested. It's not helping my interest on Naomi or Jacob either. However, tge actress playing Naomi has comes a long way from day one.
