Marlena has never felt that level of grief before? Then, I guess, loving and losing Roman (even though, as it turned out, he was still alive...maybe) meant nothing after all. (Baby D.J.? Eh, minor setback, too.)

Whatever, Hogan. If you can't be bothered to put scenes in a proper, historical context, then I have nothing more to say to you.

>> as of right now days is done in 2009 anyways.... so why not pull out the stops and go there. balls to the wall if you will.

Exactly...except, John's probably still alive, and DAYS once again played its' fans for chumps.

I think Deidre got it right.

John is the absolute love of her life, NOT Roman!

When Roman died, yes it was EXTREMELY emotional, but John's death IMO is MUCH bigger for Marlena and MUCH MORE emotional, therefore YES it is ABOVE anything she has felt.

As for DJ's death, yes, again VERY hard, but a COMPLETELY different kind of loss emotion and definetly on a different level!

Here's my thought.

John is dead.

Drake is really Roman.

Everyone in Salem looks at Josh Taylor's character and realizes he's really Chris Kostichek!

No seriously, I think this will be a great way to tell a story that Drake is really Roman Brady. I don't think we have seen the last of Drake. This seems more like TSJ leaving and not someone like Grant Aleksander, who was really fired.

AMEN TISHY!! B)

I so agree.

I should also add that part of me thinks they could get recognition for this. I mean this is very risky and you have Ed and Hogan, who are both emmy darlings in the past, behind this. If done the way it sounds, it could do the trick.

I agree with Mitch in that this is a different grief. This is something that affects Marlena on a much deeper level. She has spent so many years with John, including the years she thought he was Roman. It's over 21 years worth of history there. It's much bigger IMO.

Hahahahahahahaha that would be hilarious!!!!!

I can't blame people for being skeptical. They could have him with his goodbye cake and speech and people would be like no. They could of videotaped footage of him clearing out his dressing room and people wouldn't believe it. Heck half the cast seems to be in denial.

Off topic - I want a Deidre Needs an Emmy banner!

Again, I'm divided on it. The DHs are a joke to me, but they weren't always, and they have a huge audience. There should've been a way to downgrade them on a more reality-based DOOL without losing their fans entirely. And what does Marlena do with the rest of her life? Sure, she can move story by herself, but this is much, much bigger than when Viki lost Ben on OLTL (which put her out of commission for years, and BTW I hated Ben more than John) - even more of Marlena's life and soul was wrapped up in John Black. Do they really ever intend for her to have a serious love interest again? Who but WN's Roman could measure up to the Eyebrow?

If DOOL really is cancelled I expect John will do a Carl Hutchins return in the last several weeks.

When does John get hit by the car, or has he already? I need to know where to pick up the show.

True, but at the time, these people were really being killed off. The actors really thought they were gone for good, as did the show.

It wasn't until KC demanded a last minute rewrite that they returned in one of the crappiest stories ever.
