She'll never get it.

Ordinarily I wouldn't even be mad when player wants to assert him or herself because, often times the ITF or the tournament directors are too meek to take a firm decision and it's usually left to the players to try to force the tournament to make decisions but don't act like when one player asserts herself or if there is even a hint of her trying to assert herself, sh*t hits the fan and these dudes pile up on her, while the rest throw their weight around and nobody says one word about it.

If Serena had walked off the court without word from the umpire or the referee, it would've been a sh*tstorm and anybody who denies that is lying their asses off.

Sometimes I don't even know why I watch this stupid sport.  It never evolves, just trades in the same ridiculous regressive themes.

I want to see Thiem use that same energy to talk about how he was left standing on court looking like a huge fool while Djokovic walked off without a word to him faster than LeBron could leave a meandering press conference.

Never said Serena was perfect.  The point is none of them are perfect but some can do no wrong while others can scream at ball kids, launch balls out of stadiums, shove chair umpires and beat holes into the umpire's chair and two mumbling words get spoken and everybody moves on like it's nothing.

There's a double standard.

If you think this is not true, why not bring facts to the argument to prove otherwise?  Seriously, I would listen to a serious debate.

By the way, I've never threatened to walk when I've read numerous posts about how Frances sucks and Felix is overrated, etc.  No, I stay and try to present a case of why I disagree.  I enjoy most of your posts, @Soapsuds but this seems like a really childish reaction.  It's your choice though and I have to respect that.

The story now is that Djokovic knew that play was going to be suspended or he wouldn't have left the court. There's no mention of whether Thiem was informed or not.  If he knew, then why would he just stand there?

Now some people are complaining that the rain is gone but play has already been cancelled for the day.

Maybe the rain will return.  Maybe there's something they know that the rest of us don't? LOL.

Oh well, Kanye shrug.

I suspect we would have had a few withdrawals next year if Israel had won. I don't think many people would relish going to Jerusalem as things stand now. Not to mention it would have been a prime target for terrorist attacks.
    • And they've given us plenty. Sets, outdoor scenes, music licensing, etc. And that was the point of me using DAYS... so. It's obvious the casino set is not intended for long-term use, hence why it's likely it wasn't as evolved as the other community sets, etc.

    • I just had thought of how to save the Perkins family. (Inspired by Rituals) -- What if Marisa Perkins was Augusta Lockridge's sister? Fictionally, they could've both been local girls, one married rich and one married poor. Originally, I was going to suggest that Marisa be Sophia's sister, but then I realized Joe and Kelly would've been first cousins.  Of course, it would've truly inspired Sophia was if Rosa Andrade sister, with Rosa and Santana moving in to help CC raise the kids once Sophia disappeared.  While this could've avoided both gross CC and Santana affairs, the times were not right for a story about intersectional inequity.
    • https://www.instagram.com/p/DJxW5DLJLId/ Another World is my forever favorite soap opera. But it's finale is almost universally hated by its fans. What this is, is an edit where I've deleted everything I didn't like!!!
    • The Perkins family had potential to be a nice alternative to the more dysfunctional Capwells and wackier Lockridges... but I think a few factors did in the family. 1) Recasting of Joe Perkins 2) Bad casting of the Perkins Patriarch, and the one note writing for that character. 3) Lack of antagonistic interaction between the Capwells/Lockridges and Perkins.  (There was no awkwardness between Jade/Ted.. or CC disapproving of his son being friends with that Perkins girl, etc). 4) Wasting of Jade thus wasting the potential of the actress (which was realized on Days of Our Lives).  She had more potential than Laken oddly enough. The only member of the Perkins family that had appeal and a somewhat thought out story arc was Amy.
    • @GymnastGuyThanks for posting the three new Capitol 1985 episodes today. The two labeled March 12, and 13 are misidentified. The March 12 labeled one actually aired November 12 1985 which I figured out because Kenny Rogers' movie Wild Horses aired November 12th and it was announced over the "March 12" Cap credits. In addition, Craig Carlson is listed in the April credits but not the March. Craig left Capitol sometime after July 1985 before he rejoined OLTL in the credits by October 15, 1985; he was replaced on Cap by Radcliffe and Hamner. In these posted episodes Radcliffe/Hamner names appear in the March 85 episodes but not in the April.
